Michael Jackson Justice: Stranger in Moscow, Friend in my Heart

God: Reconnect to Him

The Conspiracy against God is about "The Word", and the profaning of His Holy Name within us. Adam fell in the garden, breaking the direct connection to God. Jesus, the "last Adam" was a quickening Spirit, the Word made Flesh, and the only one with whom we can re-establish our relationship with God. Michael's story is still unfolding. He is the one who is, is not. But Jesus is the only name given under heaven by which we must be saved. Many are trying to rewrite HIStory. We were given a help to instruct us. Learn more "here".

Stranger in Moscow, Friend in my Heart

September 25, 2010 – Stranger in Moscow, Friend in my Heart

I can't wait to get to this one. "Stranger" ripped my heart out and like you the first time I saw it was after June 25, of 2009. It was very simply and tastefully shot, the stark black and white images, the slo-mo rain falling and slow shutter bird wings and wasp and coffee spilling. But the words, I am telling you.

Stranger In Moscow

I was wandering in the rain
Mask of life, feelin' insane
Swift and sudden fall from grace
Sunny days seem far away
Kremlin's shadow belittlin' me
Stalin's tomb won't let me be
On and on and on it came
Wish the rain would just let me

How does it feel (How does it feel)

How does it feel
How does it feel
When you're alone
And you're cold inside

Here abandoned in my fame

Armageddon of the brain
KGB was doggin' me
Take my name and just let me be
Then a begger boy called my name
Happy days will drown the pain
On and on and on it came
And again, and again, and again...
Take my name and just let me be

How does it feel (How does it feel)

How does it feel
How does it feel
How does it feel
How does it feel (How does it feel now)
How does it feel
How does it feel
When you're alone
And you're cold inside

How does it feel (How does it feel)

How does it feel
How does it feel
How does it feel
How does it feel (How does it feel now)
How does it feel
How does it feel
When you're alone
And you're cold inside

Like
stranger in Moscow
Like stranger in Moscow
We're talkin' danger
We're talkin' danger, baby
Like stranger in Moscow
We're talkin' danger
We're talkin' danger, baby
Like stranger in Moscow
I'm live in lonely
I'm live in lonely, baby
Stranger
in Moscow

KGB interrogator - Russian to English Translation]
"Why have you come from the West?
Confess! To steal the great achievements of
the people, the accomplishments of the workers..."

“It concludes with a narrative, spoken in Russian, by a KGB interrogator.[17] The narrative, translated into English is, "Why have you come from the west? Confess! To steal the great achievements of the people, the accomplishments of the workers..."

The Dawning of a Realization for Michael

I can see already where this is going to take me and I feel as though someone is pulling my heart down through my stomach every time I listen to this song.   This is only going to get harder the deeper we get into these song lyrics of Michael’s.  Get your Kleenex.

I had to stop several times in this song, without even the aid of the video, just to savor the delicacy of the instrumentals.  This song is the one that turned everything around for me.  This is the song that told me who Michael Jackson was, what he went through and the first day that I heard it was at the end of a three month period of studying Michael through his own interviews, speeches, depositions and even his home movies.   Had never heard the song before the fall of 2009.

In the first stanza of this “poem” turned into a song sets the theme for the loneliness and isolation Michael is suffering.  He wrote this in Moscow, on tour during the explosion of the torment of the child molestation allegations in 1993.   The first time I heard this song, those first four lines told me immediately what this song was about.

“Mask of life, feeling insane” – This hit me particularly hard and right at the beginning of the song.  It says so much about how he feels about beating heart in a superficial world.  Everyone else around him is “living”, he goes on, gutted by what someone has just done to him.  No rhyme or reason why a child and a family he befriended would do this to him.   It is the period of numbness between the initial shock and the emotional breakdown.

“Swift and sudden fall from grace” – We know what this is about.  The sudden turning of the media, the public and the music industry against him.  The core of his fans however, stood by him as he was to find out later.

The last four lines of the first stanza talk about the Kremlin’s shadow belittling him and Stalin’s tomb and the rain.  I did not get this the first time I heard the song. It seemed like it did not fit there, other than to recognize the coldness of where he was when he wrote it.  However a year after digging through this whole epic conspiracy and learning a few things, I believe the Kremlin represents the mocking shadow of possibly Sneddon and the D.A. who seemed to take a disproportionate pleasure in tormenting Michael through the press, the constant raids and the strip-search/examination they made Michael endure (remember, he had not even been arrested.  His lawyer at the time was Howard Weitzman.  Michael did not keep him around long.)

Walking in the shadow of the Kremlin

The Kremlin’s shadow I saw as the whole system, the press allied with a system that Michael was on the cusp of realizing was slanted against him.  The rain, which came on and on, and would not let him be is the pain being inflicted by every comment on the news, the talk shows, every headline appearing in the papers and tabloids, every lie spawned from the incident which kept growing and growing.

“Here abandoned in my fame, Armageddon of the brain” – The first time I heard this verse in the song, I stopped singing it with him.  My throat closed up, my chest got tight, then the tears came.  I listened to the rest of the song, but this part made the song for me because it transported me back to 2005 when both Michael and I shared a very bad year.

I wanted to know who abandoned Michael.  I wanted to know if he felt that it was God that abandoned him.  I wanted to tell him that God didn’t abandon him and that I knew because I had been there.  I knew exactly where he was.  I saw the same chasm and looked down over the same precipice once.  I once stood there, yelling to God, “What am I supposed to do now?  You pushed me to this edge, you tell me where I’m supposed to go?”

At the time, I did not know Michael enough to know if he jumped or not, but I knew I almost did.  And it was over pain caused by the manipulation of a child I loved against me.  The same thing.  I was going through a divorce, Michael was the victim of rage from a vindictive sycophant.  Both used children against us.

It was at that point in the song that I felt this intense urge to ask God to give me that man’s pain.  I don’t even know why or what good it was going to do at that point.  Michael was gone and would not feel the relief from the burdens.  I don’t know why I felt l could handle it, but I remember praying mentally that I thought I could handle it because I was so good at shutting down from the time I was a child.  I was an expert at walking through emotional walls and deflecting hurt.  I asked God to give me Michael’s pain and let me keep it so he didn’t have to deal with it any more.  Little did I know that God did exactly the opposite.  He used Michael’s pain to open up that heart of mine because it was at that moment I realized my pain was gone and all I could feel was Michael’s.

I cried for two hours after this song.  Two hours solid, with my head on this desk, sobbing.  My husband came home from work and I had to tell him I thought I was coming down with something because my nose was stuffed tight, my eyes were swollen.  Making dinner, I had to keep turning toward the sink because the tears were coming and I couldn’t stop them.  After dinner, he went down to the office and I cleaned up.  I let the tears go full force.  I couldn’t even see the dishes I was cleaning up.

The same word occupied my brain over and over again . . . loneliness.  How incredibly alone he must have felt with everyone around him pulling back, acting is if they no longer knew him, Michael himself pulling back just from reaction and a need to self-protect.  I could imagine him curled up into a ball, in the corner of a hotel room, crying, wondering what it was he did that was so wrong.

Exhausted – Do you Give up and go over?
Or do you fight with energy you no longer have?

I could not get that phrase out of my head.  What did he do?  With all the bad people roaming the earth and an innocent is publicly flayed, mocked, emotionally tortured and wrongfully accused.  I will not lie to you when I tell you that I pictured him dragging a cross through the streets and up a hill while people spit on him.  I know he would probably cringe if he saw this analogy, but that is what this reminded me of.

I thought, is this what Christ wanted me to see?  Is this what he wanted me to relate to?  Have people so taken for granted the things we were given that even those who DO seek God do so superficially, thinking it means something when in reality our hearts are still closed?

I wondered if this is what Christ felt like, when he knew what it was we were going to suffer if he didn’t do what he came here to do . . . if he backed out.  Did Christ volunteer to take our pain?  Yes he did.

So that is the love they talk about in the Bible.  To want to take the pain of someone else for no reason at all, without even understanding why you want to take it.  You just ask for it because . . .

You love them.

That brought about a fresh bout of tears.  (One box of Kleenex gone, another being worked on).  At two am I finally went to bed.  My husband was asleep.  I freshened up, washed my face with COLD water to try to shrink my sinuses.  As I lay there in bed, the tears come again.  I can’t stop them.  So I pray.  I ask God, “Why are you doing this to me?” (I have a short memory . . . I asked for this)  “What is wrong with me?  Why can’t I cut this man loose?  I didn’t know him!  Why am I crying like this God?  Help me let this go!”  As I prayed, it turned into a prayer FOR him instead of for me, “I don’t understand why you allow this to happen, what did he do that was so wrong?  Why did the bad guys win?  How could  you let him suffer when he TALKED about you?  He witnessed for you!  He did what you told him to do!  (I was getting angry), He tried to show you to others and look what happened to him!”  Then I screamed in my head, “Why didn’t you protect him!”  Then I was done praying.  I couldn’t do any more.  My pillow was soaked, my nose was stuffed back up and I couldn’t breathe.  The rest of what happened is here.  http://michaelsguardian.blogspot.com/2010/01/that-night-in-august-kiss.html

For me, the purpose of that song “Stranger in Moscow” was that moment two-fold.  It opened me up and it put me on a path.  I have no idea where it will go.  Faith so far, has played a big part in this.

Renew – He was not alone, God was on his side

“KGB was doggin' me, Take my name and just let me be” -  the KGB, the press, the public, he cannot escape them from the time he was a child performer, they have always been there, wanting something from him.  His name was now a marketable commodity which prevented most from seeing him as human being (having a hard time with this).

The chorus he talks about danger.  I wasn’t sure if this meant his well being was in danger (mentally and physically), or if there was something a bit more sinister, as during this time, Michael was just learning that people surrounding him did not exactly have his best interests at heart.  The scope of what was around him was becoming more clear.  In an anguished cry, he also sings that he is “living  lonely”, which is a frequent sentiment in his songs.

Chillingly the end of the song, which you can barely hear, is a narrative spoken in Russian and the instrumentals fade out.  That narrative, translated into English, says:

"Why have you come from the West?  Confess! To steal the great achievements of the people, the accomplishments of the workers..." KGB interrogator

This was a chilling addition and one I never paid attention to until now.    Why was  this added at the end?  What was Michael trying to say?  Were people trying to steal his achievements?  Was he on to them that far back?

Within a few years, Michael was going to be entangled in a battle with Sony over ownership of the masters of his own songs, which Michael made public in 2001 during Sony’s sabotaging of his album, “Invincible”.  The bigger battle however, was not over contract misrepresentations or master recordings, it was over a massive and increasing music publishing catalog.

That also may be a secondary reason for all this.  Considering the messages in Michael’s songs, and the contents of the Invincible album, Sony may have had a deeper reason for not wanting to promote this album and the music industry giving it the reviews that it did.

There was something else going on.  Yes, there was money and a publishing empire at stake, but there were other catalogs for the taking.  Why such a decades long battle for control of this one?

We are going to follow Michael’s footsteps . . . yet another yellow brick road . . .

Getting His Second Wind

  1. Bonnie, can I just simply send you a very long hug? A very strong one. Thank you for feeling Michael the way I feel him, and I am so sorry for your pain (be it past, present or future, doesn't matter). Take care of that heart of yours, please. Beautiful post.

Is that long enough? LOL! Yes, you may and I just hugged you back. I think my heart is heavy because he is sitting in there and every time he turns I can feel it. You know . . . you can feel it to.

Thank you so much. Hearts were given to us by God to join with others. When one gets wounded the other can beat for two and jump start the wounded one. ♥

Think carefully about this...YES, there IS another reason, and it's a rather simple one. Sony figured out that Michael had been "tipping off his fan base (and whomever took time to truly listen)" through his music. PLUS...let's look at this one a bit more carefully under the microscope of time: "Dancing the Dream: Poems and Reflections" was published by Doubleday on June 1, 1992. When you stop and think about it all, the Chandler fiasco of 1993 and '94 is NOT that surprising, now is it? Here's a humble man, in spite of his fame, giving thanks to God for everything that comes his way, supports 39 differing charities, and whatnotall. Now...what other recording artist or actor/actress, or successful director/producer has even attempted to COMPETE with Michael in that area? The correct answer: NO ONE. So, when you put that under a microscope, you can see the hows and whys Sony (and others in the entertainment industry) felt threatened. He made them look "bad." So, there's your "motive" and Michael KNEW this also. This is why many were "jealous". Here's another thing...Michael built up "Neverland" in 1988. The fact that he opened it up to underprivileged and sickly children hurt the likes of the rather pricey Disneyland, Disney World, Six Flags, and so forth, now didn't it? When you consider all of these great things that Michael did and was all about, now you have an even clearer bottom line as to why many felt he needed to be "destroyed". Plus, as much as the United States likes to pride itself on its laws about "racial prejudice", I'm sorry...but that's a LIE too. If there is still ONE thing that "whitey" doesn't like is an "uppity african/american". It's even worse if that person is successful or influential in any way, shape or form. Take note of Martin Luther King, Jesse Jackson, Michael, and even now President Obama!

Michael was an expert communicator, storyteller, and wordsmith. He communicated on multi-levels: Dance, lyrics (words), music, and lastly VIDEO. This is yet another reason why I personally believe that the November release and all the other future releases will ultimately FAIL. Sure, CD's will sell, but they will never equal the likes of "Thriller", "Bad", "Dangerous", or "Blood on the Dance Floor". The reason for such is this...Each will miss the "full picture" and miss out on the depth of what Michael is telling us so to speak.

Sure, listeners will have the lyrics (words) and the music BUT, just as Michael was multi-faceted and multi-layered, so was his art! The lyrics and the music alone is just that...Rather sterile, when you stop to think about it. Don't you think? It will be similar to a story starting with "Once Upon A Time" and abruptly ending with "The End"... and the rest of the story is left untold! You can't have a sandwich when you only have one slice of bread, and Sony will learn this one the hard way, right along with those fans who buy the "new" release(s)!!! So, consider such a WARNING!

  5. Hi Bon, heart wrenching post. I'm so sorry you went through so much pain Bon. I think we are here to grow and learn our lessons but sometimes things are given to us that are too much to bear.

The song is beautiful and haunting. Michael said that he wrote how he was feeling at the time - very very lonely and desolate. I know I have felt like that and I'm sure others have unfortunately. I always felt that the Kremlin was a metaphor for a threat of some kind. I mean in the cold war days the Kremlin was symbolic of terror, lack of freedom, the ominus.

You ask why the bad guys win - well, they do usually at least in this world. I pray that this world is only one aspect of the whole journey and I pray that Michael is where he belongs now in peace no longer suffering loneliness and scorn. Lord knows he suffered enough for being himself.

    Hugs

  6. I neglected to mention one final thing. Michael married Lisa Marie Presley. That was a HUGE mistake. No offense intended toward LMP BUT...her Father's loyal following (especially those in the South) believed and had made mention that Elvis himself was racially prejudiced and that he was likely "rolling in his grave" over Lisa's marrying Michael. Even some Presley family members had said that if Lisa had married Michael and Elvis would've still been alive-- he likely would've disowned her.

Whether or not such Elvis was actually prejudiced has never been proven, in spite of some statements from those who supposedly knew him best, but well...the uproar over the marriage of a black man to Elvis' "little princess" was definitely NOT well-received in the southern United States. Do a little researching, and you'll learn quite a bit about this being true. So, it's not hard to figure a little bit of mathematics here as to yet another reason as to why that marriage had failed.

In any case, when adding my earlier commentary, plus this bit of math into the equation, you can truly understand why Michael was indeed "A Stranger in Moscow" in so many ways. Note, Michael and Lisa divorced in '96, but their marriage was in constant turmoil due to Presley's fear of "a custody battle" should she have children with MJ. This brings to mind another possibility...

I don't really think that Lisa was afraid of a custody battle with Michael if things went sour between them. The real issue was that she KNEW what some Presley family members would have thought of her not only marrying a black man, but God forbid...to have children with one too? Oh yeah...that would've gone over like a "fart in a church".

  7. Hello Bonnie and good analogy of the the song Stranger in Moscow.

Lady A, I agree with your comments above. You stated what I believe was the biggest of Michael's problems, JEALOUSY....and add the need for the powers that be to CONTROL.....sooooo very sad but this is the country that I call home. As Michael stated, The truth will prevail. This is one of many truths.

  8. Bonnie – thank you for making us be aware to listen the lyrics and the meaning of Michael’s songs attentively. In the past I listened his music because his voice is so sweet and the music is very moving without paying too much attention to his lyrics. In short I wasn’t listening. Now I realized listening to his lyrics is so crucial in getting to know the music legend and his messages.

You are right, I never heard the song before he died. Why this song was not heard across the land? I have to stop reading and go away for a while. It is so painful, and I see it imagining him writing the song while he was in pain.

“Swift and sudden fall from grace”, on top of what you said it seems to me that we all remember in the 80’s where his fame and popularity sky rocketed and everywhere you turned here is Michael Jackson in the news, magazines, talk shows, and awards. And, as he said “swift and sudden” they turn their hate and crucifying machine against him until the day he died and continue beyond.

Yes, the Kremlin is like a CIA in Russia. You know what CIA do infiltrate, and spy suspicious activities, so that’s what Tom Sneddon did following him and spying his life secretly just like kremlin and CIA do. But he followed him without merit. Stalin was a dictator who tortured and murdered innocent people insanely. So when Tom Sneddon’s “shadow” spying him and “Stalin’s tomb” which is the media torturing him.

Michael is brilliant he put practically everything what has been done to him in his music. All we have to do is LISTEN.

  9. Oh my God Lady, “The fact that he opened it up to underprivileged and sickly children hurt the likes of the rather pricey Disneyland, Disney World, Six Flags, and so forth, now didn't it?” You are right, they felt threatened and they probably thought it was like competition for them. Michael was letting all these children to come to Neverland for free.

You said it right Lady and I agree, “If there is still ONE thing that "whitey" doesn't like is an "uppity african/american". It's even worse if that person is successful or influential in any way, shape or form. Take note of Martin Luther King, Jesse Jackson, Michael, and even now President Obama!” However, only those extreme or fringe group of white people in the society that think all the good things belong to them. I wouldn’t be surprised if they wanted to “destroy” Michael in that sense since we live in the society where racial disparity is so rampant.

    _---------------------------

Threatened is a song we will look into also, later on. There were definite jealousies but the viciousness in which these people went after Michael and for the length of time they went after him, I always thought there are more to it than just the catalog because that was just being built up.

Let me ask you a question . . . if the entertainment industry was controlled by a few people that could see the power of the influence of music/movies etc, and sought to control the thought processes of society/the world, what do you think they would do to someone whom God threw in there as a wrench in their "gears"? Someone who God blessed financially and enabled him to purchase what would be come the third largest music publishing catalog on the world?

Do you see the motivation for all that has been done to Michael when not only money, but a whole ideology is at risk?

  11. Daniela - It is amazing how many people have found their hearts folded over by this. The original reason I started this blog was to try to figure out how and why this moved me so much. I also knew there would be others who were going through the same thing. This blog is also for them. ♥

Lady - I'm not sure how Elvis would have felt. He too was Christian/God oriented and he took a lot of his style of music from the black artist community. Elvis also took Lisa Marie to an Jackson Concert when she was younger. Would he have been scratching his head? Maybe, but I don't think he would have hated Michael. Pricilla however, was a different story from what I heard during one interview.

I agree with you that Lisa Marie did not want to have children with Michael POSSIBLY for that reason. I believe one of their biggest problems was their different faiths. Lisa Marie is a Scientologist and if Tom Cruise is any indication of how elitist they are, I can see that going over with Michael like a lead balloon!

    1. There is a video on YouTube where Lisa Marie's uncle said "Elvis was not a prejudiced man, but he wouldn't have liked to have bi-racial grandchildren (not verbatime)". Huh? is that not an oxymoron? He continued to say that that is why she divorced him because he was pressuring her to have their child. Lisa called her marriage to Michael one of the biggest mistakes she made. I rather think it was the opposite. The biggest mistake HE made. She must have in her mind despised that Michael owned her father's catalog of music (which he never wrote by the way). Now I am certain the little witch is dying to get her hands on the catalog worth God knows how many millions.

    2. Hi Katie,

It's not about the catalog. It's about something much bigger. Lisa Marie sold her soul.

  12. Bonnie – you said, “I always thought there are more to it than just the catalog because that was just being built up”. I don’t know what more beside the catalog, but we can speculate based on the lyrics of his songs. So maybe he was exposing the society’s evil and brutal actions towards our children, our planet, our animals, and towards each other. And that maybe was threatening the statues qua.

I believe God always sends agents to address and to voice every problem we face in life. So Michael was sent to address the very problems we are facing in this earth using his music as instrument.

Just like I believe you are also sent as an agent to let the world know what was Michael’s mission and his purpose in life. God didn’t want his mission to be stopped so he anointed you to be his voice and bring his lyrics and the meaning of them into light so we can see and learn and be a force for change he wanted to bring in this planet.

  13. @Lady,

It was many years ago I was in Africa and heard that from the community there this African girl who really loves Elvis sent him her picture and a letter saying how much she loves him, and he sent her back a black dog picture. The girl was heartbroken and couldn’t believe America was racially uppity. I myself was shocked when I hear this and learned latter he was indeed prejudiced.

Thank you for mentioning this, that might have something to do also for going after him brutally.

  14. Why was this added at the end? What was Michael trying to say?
He was in troubles in Russia. The KGB was really following him.
There is a whole story about his visit to Moscow. The government didn't allow people to buy tickets and a lot more that I don't remember now, so I guess part of the meaning of this song is about that.

    Most DEFINITELY.

"Do you see the motivation for all that has been done to Michael when not only money, but a whole ideology is at risk?"

    ABSOLUTELY!

Oh, most certainly!!! Especially since Lisa was far from angelic herself. Likely Michael, over time saw her as a hypocrite in many ways.

You're very welcome. The instance you shared here sounds familiar. I've heard and read such things or at least similarities in stories regarding Elvis' prejudice. It's really a shame since here was a man who also was (at least for the most part) devoutly religious, and appeared to have a knack for singing Gospel (Ooooh...did he know he was singing "black music?"), and his early hits such as "Blue Suede Shoes" was originally written and performed by Carl Perkins-- a BLACK man, but yet...he was prejudiced??? My jury is still officially out on Elvis's possible prejudice. However, I will say this... If Elvis himself was not prejudiced, it is extremely likely that those handling his "public relations" and so forth, WERE! Especially if they were born and raised southern.

Note: I'm not picking on southerners, just to let everyone know this. Many southerners today are "growing up" and evolving. Eventually racial prejudice too will die in the good ol' South. But for now? There's still a lot of work to be done.

  16. In "Dancing the Dream", a poem that I'll share that has always been one of my favorites. Michael wrote...

    Two Birds

It's hard to tell them what I feel for you. They haven't ever met you, and
no one has your picture. So how can they ever understand your mystery?
    Let's give them a clue:

Two birds sit in a tree. One eats cherries, while the other looks on.
Two birds fly through the air. One's song drops like crystal from the sky while the other keeps silent. Two birds wheel in the sun. One catches the light on its silver feathers, while the other spreads wings of invisibility.

It's easy to guess which bird I am, but they'll never find you. Unless...
Unless they already know a love that never interferes, that watches from beyond, that breathes free in the invisible air. Sweet bird, my soul, your silence is so precious. How long will it be before the world hears your song in mine?

Oh, that is a day I hunger for!

  17. @Lady,

There are many Christian in this world who go to church every Sunday and listen the gospel but never applied the teaching of Jesus Christ in their daily life. If they really do the way the Bible says, this world would have been a different place. This apply to all religions by the way.

For Elvis being “devoutly religious, and appeared to have a knack for singing Gospel” or learning from black musicians means nothing if his heart was not pure.

Just like you I don’t know for sure if he was prejudiced against other races for sure, but I heard a lot that he was.

  18. @Lady, this shouldn't devolve into racial discussions.

I'm not a southerner, I was raised in the north, but I was around when Elvis was the biggest thing on the planet and I can tell you he loved black people. He surrounded himself with them. His devotion to gospel music was evident from the beginning of his career to the end. He was all encompassing.

Having said that, I'm here commenting and have been for awhile because I love Michael Jackson, the greatest entertainer and humanitarian we will ever know. Let's not compare the two, please. I believe Michael and Lisa loved one another; Priscilla didn't care for the relationship; however Lisa was never one to listen to her mother.

And, yes, Elvis most assuredly knew he was singing "black music".

  19. Something to consider - I don't believe Michael would have been so enamored with Elvis himself if he had any indication that Elvis was prejudiced. I am not sure of Priscilla's attitude or Lisa's for that matter. I had read somewhere that Elvis was wary of the Beatles though and had volunteered to be an informant for the FBI because he thought the Beatles were "Dangerous".

The direction Michael's music was taking was definitely anti-establishment and I do believe, considering the history of music and our own government's involvement with it (history . . . read your history. The REAL history), there may have been a bigger reason for the control of the music catalogs and control of the artists themselves.

Let me research a couple of links for you because I was reading about this not to long ago and I have to find the links again. Very interesting . . .

    1. Lisa loved Michael the way a groupie loves an icon. You cannot write songs like "idiot" or even worse "Disciple" which are both clearly about the way she felt about Michael or should i say hated him. She was in love with the idea of Michael. She was too shallow to understand who he was. Love is patient and kind. She once said the opposite of LOVE is not hate, but INDIFFERENCE. she certainsly stated that many times on Oprah 2010. She eviscerated him in the media during 2003-2006 or 2007. You call that love?

    2. Hi Katie,

This blog is a couple of years old. I completely agree with you. Lisa Marie's soul is gone. It is gone and has been for a long time. You have no arguement with me. At one time I was trying to give that woman the benefit of a doubt. Lisa Marie has a new job now - Puppet for the establishment.

    I think -
The Kremlin represents THE puppet masters, (higher than the music industry, which is just one "department" within the structure).
The Kremlin shadow is the belittling/deceiving mouthpiece of the Kremlin - the media.
    Stalin's tomb - propaganda machine?
KGB - Sony/music industry. "Take my name" - SONY has done that but they sure never let him be.

"To steal the great achievements of
the people, the accomplishments of the workers..."

The elite have been doing that to us for a very long time through the IRS (income tax collection) in America. IRS is the long arm that incites fear, threatens, strips possessions and robs of freedom but can cite no law for their unconstitutional collections because THERE IS NO LAW. They illegally STEAL the fruits of our labor, which goes to the Federal Reserve toward interest on the national debt.

I think the fact that it's in Russian and you can hardly hear it was Michael's way of drawing a fish in the sand...so to speak - to get the message out quietly, possibly even into the subconscious.

  21. It was mentioned that one threat people felt was Michael possibly changing World Ideology.

That Michael was all for Peace and Love and Unity

But isn't also possible that the powers could have used Michael's desire for World Peace to usher in "The New World Order?"

  22. @ Bonnie: I merely brought such into the "ingredients" here as an open illustration of the multi-faceted issues meanings hidden within "Stranger" and several other songs that Michael wrote/sang/danced about. But yes, racial issues ran strong regarding Michael, even though he had truly believed and openly made it quite clear with the statement: "I'm not going to spend my life being a color.", from Black or White.

Also, even Michael's "good friend" Steven Spielberg had spoken out about "Black or White" claiming the video was too violent and radical a view to be put on a music tv station, and apparently he also had took offense when Michael released "They Don't Really Care About Us", and accused MJ of being anti-semetic!!! Now mind you...I respect Spielberg BUT...what seriously explains "Schindler's List", and "Amistad" then? He was basically displaying the very same "hot topics" that MJ had been IMHO so, pardon my confusion Mr. Spielberg but what's your complaint...???? Oh...I get it...

  23. Oh...as for REAL history. I know what you're talking about. Originally our Gov't before it officially became the US of A, it was the intention of our "Founding Fathers" that the "ordinary, everyday" citizens of the US would not be allowed to vote. Only those with enough $$$ and those within and of the Gov't could have done such. But, that was done away with. Or...was it??? When you stop and remember the Gore vs. Bush election fiasco and how America was educated that the POPULAR vote meant absolutely NOTHING when compared to the ELECTORAL vote. But that's okay...dear ol' Tom Jefferson, the author of our Declaration of Independence was a tad "anti-establishment" now wasn't he when you throw Sally Hemings into the equation. Although, those are but only a few instances. In any case, hmm...

It's not just through the IRS, but through the "employment" system. If you work for a company and you come up with an idea that gets patented, guess who owns the patent? The company. The music industry has done this with artists songs only the artists PAY FOR THEIR OWN PRODUCTION. Their advances are taken out of profits of concerts and/or record sales. When the end of their contract terms come close, the label either shelves the artist or finds another way to sabatage their income where the artist is forced to finance loans on their own work and/or sell their rights to their own songs. Then the work THEY CREATED, they have to PAY THAT LABEL EVERY TIME THEY WANT TO SING THEM!

That is BULLCRAP!!!!!!!!!!! This is the only industry that does that. Authors of books also have contracts with publishers that can get a little hairy but it's not nearly as bad as the recording industry.

As an employee of a company, taxes are taken directly out of your pay . . . your GROSS pay. Corporations also pay taxes but your PAY is their EXPENSE and they get an allowance or a tax credit back. They get taxed on their NET profit . . . whereas employees get taxed on their GROSS PROFIT - BEFORE expenses. This is why there is so much of an anti-corporate sentiment out there and the bailouts here did not help that at all.

Small companies get reamed whereas big corporations get the tax breaks. They pay for and control the elections (you thought we were a free country) and in return they get their favors. This is what is happening to middle America and it is by design. It's been going on for tens of decades.

"The Federal Reserve System certainly makes large profits. According to the Board's 1995 Annual Report, the System had net income totaling $23.9 billion, which, if it were a single firm, would qualify it as one of the most profitable companies in the world. How were these profits distributed? By an agreement between the Board of Governors and the Treasury, nearly all of the Fed's annual profits are paid to the federal government. Accordingly, a lion's share of $23.4 billion, which represents 97.9 percent of the Federal Reserve's net income, was transferred to the Treasury. The Federal Reserve Banks kept $283 million, and the remaining $231 million was paid to its stockholders as dividends."

    Source: http://www.usagold.com/federalreserve.html+owners+of+federal+reserve+bank&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us

Who are the class A stockholders?

Rothschild Banks of London and Berlin; Lazard Brothers Banks of Paris; Israel Moses Seif Banks of Italy; Warburg Bank of Hamburg and Amsterdam; Lehman Brothers of New York; Kuhn, Loeb Bank of New York; Chase Manhatten; and Goldman, Sachs of New York (Kah, p. 13)

Most of the owners of the Federal Reserve Bank, which gets the bulk of it's income from U.S. taxpayers, are foreign banks owned by families who are not or never were citizens of the U.S. Rockefeller and Carnegie's are also share holders.

If the power is not given back to the people, we are doomed to fail.

Probably Michael saw all these and trying to portray it in “Stranger”, and as Truth said, “The Kremlin represents THE puppet masters, (higher than the music industry, which is just one "department" within the structure”.

  29. Personal, real, heartfelt, beautiful!!!

Excellent, Bonnie! I was looking forward to reading this post today and I was NOT disappointed. Big ((((((hug))))))) to you as I wipe my face dry...:-) This song clearly touched you very deeply, as it did me, but I think even more so you. It never ceases to amaze me the tools God uses to touch us in our lives. This can be people and/or events and God is using Michael to help you grow through difficult events in your life. God is awesome!!!

"But the words, I am telling you." -Bonnie

How very, very true! Michael's words say so much!! And when they are combined with these images a truly complete picture is rendered. You can't help but be drawn in. This one, for me, is perfect. Although I saw it initially when it came out in the mid 90's, I hadn't seen it in over 10 years until after Michael's tragic passing. I felt I was seeing it for the first time again.

"This is the song that told me who Michael Jackson was"-Bonnie

I totally agree. He is really letting you into his heart for just a moment to experience what he is experiencing. Isolation, loneliness, oppression and ultimate redemption.

“Mask of life, feeling insane” -MJ

Bonnie, in the lyric, “Mask of life, feeling insane,” you comment on the superficiality of the world. Behind the "mask" Michael wore as he interacted with the "world," he felt on the verge of insanity. In a sense we all wear masks to hide how we really feel and who we really are. Michael, in this video, lets that mask down ever so slightly. In fact, he doesn't display his trademark moves or unique vocal styling’s, the "he he's" or "Oooo's". The "mask" is set aside so that he can tell you something very important and personal. Something life changing.

“What am I supposed to do now? You pushed me to this edge, you tell me where I’m supposed to go?” -Bonnie

Wow! I don't know where to start! Excellent thought! In some ways I feel that Michael is responding to that question that he could have very well asked of God.

First, "What am I supposed to do now?" Through his sense of isolation and loneliness, he identifies with the isolation and loneliness of others. He experiences loneliness but he is not alone in that feeling. Like you said, God is on his side. He acknowledges its universality with the diverse individuals seemingly trapped in their own personal struggle. The video isn't just about him and what he is going through, as crushing as his personal experience was at the time. (to be continued...:-)

    ReplyDelete
  30. Second, "you tell me where I’m supposed to go?” At the end of the video he steps out into the rain, opens his arms and turns his face up towards it, as do his other video companions. Despite, his (their) pain, he (they) aren't going to be defeated by it. Like you said, Bonnie, "The rain, which came on and on, and would not let him be is the pain being inflicted by every comment on the news, the talk shows, every headline appearing in the papers and tabloids, every lie spawned from the incident which kept growing and growing." I also see this moment as a type of Baptism, so to speak. On one hand, the rain is the never ending pain being inflicted, on the other hand, the rain can be a cleansing, healing gift from God. In other words, it transitions from something painful to be avoided, to something to be immersed in, in order to be healed. I'm going to start getting a little obscure here so bare with me....:-) I came up with this idea as a result of a Bible study I did a few years ago where it talks about the dual nature of water. The Sea of Galilee, in northern Israel, is referred to as the abyss. This is something to be avoided and feared. This sea is also the source of food and livelihood for the inhabitants of the area. It symbolizes death and life. Also, this sea or abyss, feeds the Jordan River. The Jordan River is where Jesus was given a water baptism by John the Baptist. Christian's from around the world will travel to this place to have their water baptism in this river. (This is symbolic only and doesn't determine whether you're a Christian or not.) Don't get me wrong, I'm NOT under any circumstances comparing Michael to Jesus. Not at all. This is just to illustrate what I thought might be a dual symbolism for the rain. Of course, I could be totally wrong in my observation...:-) Thanks for your patience with me on this...:-)

As for Michael flipping his hair in the rain at the end, I felt that this was Michael determined to throw off the hate and negativity that had been pouring down on him. The video doesn't end in despair but in hope and defiant determination. Way to go Michael!

"I can see already where this is going to take me and I feel as though someone is pulling my heart down through my stomach every time I listen to this song. This is only going to get harder the deeper we get into these song lyrics of Michael’s. Get your Kleenex."-Bonnie

Well said and I've bought extra boxes of Kleenex....:-)

Bonnie, thank you for sharing how this song affected you on such a personal level. Thank you for helping us experience this song with new eyes!

  37. WOW! What fantastic comments!

Very Stimulating! I agree with everyone here.

I always loved this song, the music, the video but not I love it more.

MJ was very deep and intense and there is so much substance to this song.

The video was one of the first to use slow motion and it was a big deal when it first came out.

MJ was always the first to use the state of the art ideas and that made his videos and records sell more than anyone else.

What gets me, is MJ had to do this video after all this mess was over. He had to re-live the whole experience in order to make this video.

Talk about suffering for your art. He really wanted to get the message out and he was using the song and the video as a type of therapy to help him heal.

When you let the pain run through you, then you are able to release it. Instead of keeping it hidden deep inside (repression) where it can eat you alive.

As for the new world order, I meant that the powers that be could have kept MJ alive and used him to usher the new world order in.

The whole idea of MJ wanting peace could have backfired on MJ.

The only reason I think they didn't use MJ to usher in the new world order, was because the time was not right, yet.

It was too soon, otherwise MJ might still have been alive today. (My thoughts only)

  38. Bonnie and Lady,

About LMP having Michael's children - I read somewhere on a fan blog that a friend of Michael's (I think it was Frank Cascio) said that LMP's Momma freaked out at the prospect of her little girl having black babies. Priscilla apparently definitely did not want the relationsip to last.

I don't think they shared the same value system anyway. LMP grew up indulged and wilful whereas Michael Jackson was disciplined and had to work like a dog from childhood for all he ever achieved in his life. Michael's origins were more than humble. He was a strict JW and still remained a moral and committed Christian living the philosophy of true Christian values and through his work for humanity. Being a Scientologist, I think LMP would have found Michael's focus on humanity difficult to comprehend. I don't know a lot about Scientology but from what I have read the focus would be on myself. I hope I haven't offended anybody who may be a Scientologist on this blog and if I have, please accept my apology in advance and feel free to correct me.

  39. Bonnie, I love the fact that you are dealing with this subject matter. Stranger in Moscow is one of my very favorite Michael songs; I believe the most introspective of all his songs.

So what might the posthumous album be like? Here's a post by Roger Friedman (questionable source) posted yesterday.

"An album of new Michael Jackson recordings - songs left behind and remixed since his death - is on its way The question, though is when?

"A Sony source confirmed for me that the album will arrive before Christmas. So far, the date can't be set because the work isn't finished.

"In the end, four of what might be 12 tracks will be derived from sessions Michael did with Eddie Cascio in his suburban New Jersey studio three years ago.

"Some of the other tracks will be outtakes from Jackson albums, a Paul Anka song called "Love Never Felt So Good" from the session that produced the title track for "This Is It".

"Jackson co-executor John McClain is in charge of the project. Sources say that McClain's been relying heavily on Michael's brother, Jackie, for help since he's not, technically, a music producer. Rodney Jerkins and Akon are also working on tracks. Its unclear whether so many producers can affect a consistent sound."

Bonnie, there's more to Friedman's piece, but IMO this posthumous album will NOT be our "true" Michael, as you have so eloquently reflected in your blog, and we will be missing nothing by NOT purchasing it.

  40. Bonnie ~ "It's not just through the IRS, but through the "employment" system. If you work for a company and you come up with an idea that gets patented, guess who owns the patent? The company."

I didn't know that about employer patents, gross & net taxes. How did these things come to be?!! Through media distraction while the policy makers were in closed-door, hidden-agenda board meetings?

"The music industry has done this with artists songs only the artists PAY FOR THEIR OWN PRODUCTION. Their advances are taken out of profits of concerts and/or record sales."

So, is the musician's advance to pay for their own production? What the heck does the music industry invest...promotion costs? Or are they just riding on their own name created by stealing from the artists?

As someone else mentioned, the music industry is definitely working on controlling our minds, desensitizing through repetition and symbolism. I have become aware of the probability that they are grooming and controlling artists for this purpose.

I have often wondered how someone like Lady Gaga, for example, comes from seemingly nowhere to instant limelight, suddenly topping the charts. How does that happen? Maybe I'm off base but geez, talk about idolatry and distraction!

"By an agreement between the Board of Governors and the Treasury, nearly all of the Fed's annual profits are paid to the federal government. Accordingly, a lion's share of $23.4 billion, which represents 97.9 percent of the Federal Reserve's net income, was transferred to the Treasury."

I knew that the Federal Reserve is world bankers and that the enacting of the Federal Reserve Act was underhanded. Admittedly, I don't know the intricacies of how the Federal Reserve funnels their monies. What I don't understand is why the lion's share of their profits go to the Treasury unless they have infiltrated that to the point that they ARE now the Treasury. If, as I have read, the majority of the income taxes collected go toward interest on the national debt (loaned by The Federal Reserve) then why is it going into the Treasury?

Lastly, with all this going on, how can so many citizens not value the wise foresight of our forefathers and protect their 2nd Amendment rights? Ok, nevermind I know that one!

    Next...some interesting and educational links.

  41. @ June: I didn't mean to offend with my Elvis commentaries. I was merely pointing out that it's been alleged that he was a racist. I personally never thought him to be, but many had reason to believe that he was, and that he would have never approved of Lisa marrying Michael and that if such is/was true-- that too could've weighed heavily on Lisa's mind regarding having children with Michael. That's all. I hope that my explanations further on helped shed light on the possibility that I don't believe that Elvis personally was racist, but I also believe that it was equally and entirely possible that those who worked for him in whatever capacity throughout his career were. Unfortunately, that sort of made Elvis look bad, if and whenever his employees acted as such. But, that's that particular generation. I would like to think that we have improved a bit since then. For the most part, I think that we have, but we still have a long way to go.

  42. Remember how Michael mentioned the Lindbergh baby, talking about his own kids?

Well, I ran upon something really interesting...

    CHARLES AUGUSTUS LINDBERGH, SR. (1860-1924)
"Congressman from Minnesota (1907-1917) who LED THE FIGHT against enactment of the Federal Reserve Act in 1913. He served until 1917 when he resigned to run for governor of Minnesota. He ran a good campaign despite adverse newspaper attacks led by The New York Times. His campaign was adversely affected when Federal agents burned his books, including Why Is Your Country At War? and the papers and contents of his home office in Little Falls, Minnesota."

    http://www.barefootsworld.net/fs_m_biog.html

"In 1913 when the Federal Reserve Act was fraudulently pushed through Congress, Congressman Charles Lindbergh stated: "This Act establishes the most gigantic trust on earth....When the President signs this Act, the invisible government by the money power, proven to exist by the Money Trust Investigation, will be legalized....The new law will create inflation whenever the trust wants inflation....From now on, depression will be scientifically created."

http://www.healthfreedom.info/Federal_Reserve_Fraud.htm - The Federal Reserve Fraud and the "Invisible Government"

That was Charles Lindbergh the aviator's father.

Then there's this, after the ransom was paid for baby Lindbergh:
"In early May, 1933, over $2,000 worth of gold certificates was deposited at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. But the depositor had used a false name and address. By early 1934, the trail went dry. Nine long months went by and no ransom money surfaced."

    http://www.crimemagazine.com/lindbergh-baby-kidnapping

I doubt just anybody can open an account at that bank, I don't know if it even is a bank in the traditional sense and certainly not one that a common German immigrant (who was executed for the kidnapping and murder) would have accessed.

"Bruno Hauptmann even before his trial was assumed to be guilty. The tabloids said he was. For the public the guilty verdict was immensely satisfying: justice, and at the same time vengeance. Not until forty-one years after the trial did the first scholastic challenge to the verdict appear with Anthony Scaduto’s Scape-goat. Scaduto argued that Hauptmann was framed by authorities determined to stop at nothing to convict him."

    Sound familiar?

There's a very good detailed review of that book here:

  44. I couldn’t stop watching “Stranger” video. Each time I watch it, I get a different feelings.

The opening and tightening of his hand with deep anguish truly gets deep inside your being and make you feel awful, until you get to the last part when he flipped his hair and open his arms and look up while standing in the rain, then you get some relief. Oh Lord, what am I going to do?

We usually see Michael in his videos dancing but this one is completely different. I never paid attention to this music video before, and I don’t know why. Sorry Michael. Maybe it’s true that we people don’t appreciate and pay attention to the good things we have until it’s gone.

  45. @Lady,

You're so right concerning any new MJ releases. They will be sterile, just as you said. I also like you're analogy to a sandwich with only one slice of bread. Not just bread though, that sandwich will also be lacking "protien," so to speak. Bread, a carbohydrate with a short lived burst of energy, and protien having long lasting sustained energy. With out him, the songs will lack that long term sustainability. There, but not there. The deeper meaning he may have wanted to convey will be lost in the "mix." It may have the look and feel of a Michael song, his voice, his arrangment, but it won't have the force and intensity of his soft spoken, quiet, charismatic personality in the PRESENT, or his final blessing....:-(

    @Bonnie,

"I still believe he knew they were after him, his name, HIM, his talent and what that translate$$$ too!

Makes me feel a bit better because he was accepting the fight. Lord have Mercy! Instead of sad I see him strong. The conclusion. Face up to the confrontations (rain). Not hiding. Stepping out into it...I am Present!" -Hope

    That's it, Hope!

"Not hiding. Stepping out into it...I am Present!"

"They" were after his name and his talent and the money that could be made from that like you said. An example of "their" self serving decision making was the payout to the Chandler family. Michael wasn't going to pay them at first, he wanted to fight the allegations. At that time, his business associates convinced him to agree to the payout by suggesting his career would be over if he didn't. "Put it behind you," they said. They didn't want "their" gravy train to come to a halt. They essentially sold him out in order to maintain their own sorry life styles at his expense. Michael forever regretted agreeing to that payout. A payout that gave the impression of an admission of guilt, where no guilt existed.

  46. Hi Bonnie. I just found your blog a few days ago and I love it. I can't stop reading. I was wondering if you could write something on these words that Michael wrote around 1995:

“like the old Indian proverb says do not judge a man until you’ve walked 2 moons in his moccasins.
Most people don’t know me, that is why they write such things in wich most is not true
I cry very very often because it hurts and I worry about the children all my children all over the world, I live for them.
If a man could say nothing against a character but what he can prove, history could not be written.
Animals strike, not from malice, but because they want to live, it is the same with those who criticize, they desire our blood, not our pain. But still I must achieve I must seek truth in all things. I must endure for the power I was sent forth, for the world for the children.
But have mercy, for I’ve been bleeding a long time now.”
    M.J. (circa 1995)

Keep up the great work and thanks for your dedication to Michael's justice <3

  47. Josie - "What gets me, is MJ had to do this video after all this mess was over. He had to re-live the whole experience in order to make this video." --------------------------------------

Your right. The video was not released until 1996 and Sneddon was still flying the globe trying to pin something on him during that time! It was a somber "making of" video as well. Not the usual playing around that I used to see.

Karin - "I think LMP would have found Michael's focus on humanity difficult to comprehend. I don't know a lot about Scientology but from what I have read the focus would be on myself."

    -------------------------

From comments made and interviews she did seem to have less tolerance for Michael's focus on children. I remember also a quote of Michael's where he was discussing women in his life (he did not mention names but he had just divorced Lisa) being jealous of the time he spent even with their OWN children and that didn't sit too well with him.

    ______________________________________________

JUne - You posted: ""A Sony source confirmed for me that the album will arrive before Christmas. So far, the date can't be set because the work isn't finished."

    ------------

I will not be buying this . . . Michael, where ever you are watching all this . . . I am NOT buying this album! It's not worth ANYTHING TO ME coming from a company you no longer wanted to do business with in a deal set up by a LAWYER YOU NEVER WANTED IN YOUR BUSINESS AGAIN!

    -----------------------

June said - ""In the end, four of what might be 12 tracks will be derived from sessions Michael did with Eddie Cascio in his suburban New Jersey studio three years ago."

How did they get ahold of the stuff Michael did with Cascio? I thought this was out of the scope of Sony since Michael was no longer making records for them when they recorded this? What the heck happened? Did I miss a court order somewhere???

  48. Truthbtold - "So, is the musician's advance to pay for their own production? What the heck does the music industry invest...promotion costs? Or are they just riding on their own name created by stealing from the artists?"

Yes, you said it exactly. Their contracts are legalized theft. They invest in nothing really. They advance the artists, the artist pays it back out of their royalties and concert revenue. Percentages depend on the contract.

I went to a meeting today discussing Obama-care (what they are calling it now). Wait until you see what that entails. Over 150 new agencies will be created to oversee regulation for this mammoth bill. 14 State Governors are filing 10th amendment suits. Who benefits from this bill? Chosen Insurance companies and the pharmaceutical companies.

That is one of the first things I noticed when I first saw the video last year, was that there was none of the signature Michael moves in it. Very melancholoy, subdued, crisp, introspective. I absolutely could dissolve into this video

@ Karin: I agree about Priscilla being a real "pain" in the patootie throughout MJ's and LMP's marriage. The Scientology teaching of "Self" at the exclusion of others, well...that DEFINITELY would rub against MJ's core beliefs and life mission. So yes...there were many reasons for the failure, not just LMP not wanting to breed.

  52. I've sure appreciated everybody's enlightening perspectives on this song. The rain, the stepping into the battle, the cleansing, danger!, Michael re-living experiences to create and present this gift to us...etc., very insightful.

Michael just leaves me in awe of his genius with the intricacies of his presentations.

Darril ~ It's really good to see someone from Moscow reading!

He's an ANGEL - Thank you for that Michael quote. Michael's strength, determination and shining example in the face of adversity continue to amaze me.

Bonnie ~ Oh no...Obama-care! I suppose one aspect will be overseeing our children's health within the schools. Eventually, parents will have NO say in the guidance and care of their own chidren! I'm impressed with your extensive knowledge.

It's all shocking and criminal! The whole system is skewed in favor of corporations. The rest of us are just the laborers and consumers that make their existence possible. If only people were willing to stand together and make that change.

We were long ago warned but are people paying attention?:

If people let government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny.
    -Thomas Jefferson

"Not many people know this about Charles Lindbergh. I don't think the comparison Michael made was coincidental."

I didn't know either until I followed a side trail while researching. Nope, considering the depths and intricacies of that man, no way it was coincidental on Michael's part, which tells us much about the depths of corruption Michael was exposing and would have continued to expose.

In case I have neglected to express my appreciation for your hard work in presenting to us your insight into this beautifully revealing yet haunting song, thank you Bonnie!

It's wonderful to have a place where we can come together and freely bounce ideas and gain knowledge from, support one another. I appreciate you making that possible.

I look forward to following along in Michael's footsteps as we explore yet another Yellow Brick Road...

I agree, I could dissolve into it as well! Like you said, I also noticed the things that were missing in this video, no signature moves! His signature vocal stylings are also missing. No "he he's," "ooo's," or hic-cups. I saw this as Michael setting aside the "mask" and wanting to have a personal, person to person conversation...with us. I got some of it the first time around in the 90's, but not all of it. I see it much more clearly now. I wish I had that clarity back then...:-( When I see the video now, I wish I (all of us) could have walked on that sidewalk beside him (w/o crowding him or asking anything of him) and stepped out in the rain with him to help lessen a tiny portion of his burden, or at least shown a willingness to try. Besides, my hair is longer than his and I could throw off a lot more rain...:-)) Granted this is a very romanticized image, but I can't help wondering what could have been done stop all this from happening.

    @Josie,

I really enjoyed reading your observations today!!

"What gets me, is MJ had to do this video after all this mess was over. He had to re-live the whole experience in order to make this video.

Talk about suffering for your art. He really wanted to get the message out and he was using the song and the video as a type of therapy to help him heal.

When you let the pain run through you, then you are able to release it. Instead of keeping it hidden deep inside (repression) where it can eat you alive." -Josie

    Excellent observation!!!!

  54. You're sure welcome Lady. Although in general it's pretty easy to understand (and extremely interesting!), you would surely grasp the intricacies better than most.

"...not just LMP not wanting to breed." Although I believe they likely had a rich intimate life, LOL on terminology!

Wow, and he continued to bleed for another 21+ years!

I find it REALLY sad when looking through earlier pictures of Michael compared to more recent ones how apparent it is that he lost a lot of his former joy - stripped from him through battles that never should have been.

  55. Bonnie, in reply to my comment about four of the 12 tracks from the "new" album coming from work done with Cascio, you said how did "they" (meaning Sony?) get ahold of that stuff with Cascio as Michael was out of the scope of his work with Sony 3 years ago.

Good question. That's the info from Roger Friedman which was on the MJFC fan club site. If what Friedman says is correct, it seems that Sony's doing a lot of dealing.

I'm not buying a lot of what we hear or THAT album, BTW.

  57. Bonnie – I am sorry this is off topic but I thought it is very important.

I don’t know if you see this or not but I found these videos’ of William Wagner interviewing this lady who participated the seminar. It’s very interesting what she has to say.

One thing she said is Ron Zonen, the Assistant District Attorney, admitted that the 2005 trial was a big extortion (Shakedown).

I remember, if I am not mistaken, a while back you were talking about Michael collaborated and made songs with Eddie Cascio in one of your blog. Here is Roger Friedman (if we believe this guy at all) talking about in his article the Cascio gave the songs they did with Michael to Sony to be part of the upcoming album. Why did they do that? I was hoping they will produce the music independent of Sony. I guess maybe the estate executers are not allowing them to do that.

  58. @SandyK,
    Thanks for the compliment.

I know that Michael used his talent for therapy many times, in his life.

    Most True Artists do.

They MUST express what they feel inside and their music is the way they do it.

Just like a poet who writes, will often use his poetry as a form of therapy.

The great thing about all this is ...it works!

  59. I loved Michael and still do and I feel comforted to just know that I am not alone. When I heard he died I was so heartbroken beyond words. All I could do was pray and I still pray for him. Imagine loving someone you didnt even know personally! that is God's love. Michael loved all his fans to bits too! so it was a two way love. There was something about Michael, he was God sent, to attract millions of people so that he could pass a message. But we were too blind to see, until he was gone. Remember the first sentence of his song 'This is it': "this is it, here I stand, i'm the LIGHT of the world I feel grand.." he was sent to shed a light to what is befalling the human race. We enjoyed the dance moves and the spicing sounds in the middle of his songs too much that we did not listen to the words carefully and the messages he was trying to alert us with. 'THEY' killed him because he refused to be controlled by 'THEM' anymore and refused with his soul, after he realised that they were taking over the world and forbidding his songs that warn people. MJ sang about about 'healing the world' and alerting people and that pissed them off. They planned a conspiracy urgently. Michael tried to warn people, just like John F Kennedy, Martin Luther King and others who tried to inform the public about "WHAT LIES BENEATH". Listen to this last speech by J F Kennedy and relate it to Michael Jackson's song messages that we did not get the first time until he died. Also listen to Martin Luther's last speech as well on U-Tube.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CU4G9T2vkTE

There is more on you tube. Michael tried to fight the "EVIL FORCES" and to expose them, but THEY killed him urgently. But he did not die in vain because we got the message and still THEY were exposed and continue to be exposed. Pass it on please. Michael wanted to warn his fans but "THEY" could not let him because to 'THEM' he was a threat and was going to be listened to by millions of his fans who obviously were going to believe him. "THEY" are after your soul, learn about 'THEM' and let others know. If you want to know who 'THEY/THEM' are, google MJ's conspiracy, its all there, laid bare.
