Michael Jackson Justice: Michael’s Research into Divine Healing Part 2

God: Reconnect to Him

The Conspiracy against God is about "The Word", and the profaning of His Holy Name within us. Adam fell in the garden, breaking the direct connection to God. Jesus, the "last Adam" was a quickening Spirit, the Word made Flesh, and the only one with whom we can re-establish our relationship with God. Michael's story is still unfolding. He is the one who is, is not. But Jesus is the only name given under heaven by which we must be saved. Many are trying to rewrite HIStory. We were given a help to instruct us. Learn more "here".

Michael’s Research into Divine Healing Part 2

May 4, 2011 – Michael’s Research into Divine Healing
The Versatility of the Human Voice

Yesterday we started on what is probably going to turn out to be a series on healing and what Michael knew about the natural healing capabilities God gave us.  What the “Illuminati” doesn’t want you to know.

I am going to leave room at the end of each blog entry during this series to devote to what is going on with those who surrounded Michael.  There are a lot of things working in the background and I want you all to keep caught up with the signs of what I BELIEVE may be happening.  This way when things happen you are not totally off guard.

Today I wanted to concentrate on the “voice”.  The little picture I posted above, just under the title is Michael during “Blood on the Dance Floor”.  This was probably the first song of his that I heard where he showcased the versatility of his voice.  I don’t think it’s particularly an easy-listening type song, but the vocals definitely make you pay attention.

Blood on the Dance Floor

Don’t get me wrong, this is not what I would consider a particularly “healing” song.  This song is more of a testament to what was going on in his life.  But I put this song up as an example of the different elements he uses in his vocals, and the range.

I found some interesting information on “vocal folds”, their properties and the way they work here:

“The vocal folds, also known commonly as vocal cords, are composed of twin infoldings of mucous membrane stretched horizontally across the larynx. They vibrate, modulating the flow of air being expelled from the lungs during phonation.”  Source

I was more interested in the properties of this exhibited by vocalists or singers.  I found this particular paragraph interesting:

The vocal folds generate a sound rich in harmonics. The harmonics are produced by collisions of the vocal folds with themselves, by recirculation of some of the air back through the trachea, or both.  Some singers can isolate some of those harmonics in a way that is perceived as singing in more than one pitch at the same time—a technique called overtone singing.”
Overtone singing?  We will get into that in a minute.  I was more interested in the skills of Michael’s voice.

The vocal folds discussed above are sometimes called 'true vocal folds' to distinguish them from the false vocal folds. These are a pair of thick folds of mucous membrane that protect and sit slightly superior to the more delicate true folds. They have a minimal role in normal phonation, but are often used to produce deep sonorous tones in Tibetan chant and Tuvan throat singing, as well as in musical screaming and the death growl vocal style.  The false folds are also called vestibular folds and ventricular folds

Michael’s vocal range, as presented in this video below, is F1 to C6.  Truthfully I could not tell you what this sounds like.  I had to watch the video.  Play me a note I can sing it.  I can find any note and it’s harmony on a piano but I can’t read music nor could I tell you which note just came out of an instrument or someone’s mouth.

I found on this source, that Michael’s range was actually beyond what is exhibited below:

"Michael's vocal tick occurring on the in breath before phrasing a lyric is indicative of deep emotion. His voice, a clear tenor, vocal timbre: Spinto, Countertenor, Baritone. Highest note: B5; Lowest note : E2 Vocal range: 3.6+ octaves-- E2-B5; 44 notes by the middle of 1980s according to Seth Riggs, vocal consultant. In the 1990s, Riggs said the range expanded to 4 octaves.  Four octaves gives Michael Jackson a range that few can match."  Source

Michael’s other vocal attributes:

Oscillation, as mentioned in one of the paragraphs above, is the vibrating of the chords when speaking or singing.  Michael’s vibrato is what I have described in the past as “athletic”.  So what is “oscillation” or a “Vibrato”?

Oscillation – Vocal: “Oscillation is the repetitive variation, typically in time, of some measure about a central value (often a point of equilibrium) or between two or more different states.  The human voice produces sounds in the following manner:
  1. Air pressure from the lungs creates a steady flow of air through the trachea (windpipe), larynx (voice box) and pharynx (back of the throat).
  2. The vocal folds in the larynx vibrate, creating fluctuations in air pressure that are known as sound waves.
  3. Resonances in the vocal tract modify these waves according to the position and shape of the lips, jaw, tongue, soft palate, and other speech organs, creating formant regions and thus different qualities of sonorant (voiced) sound.
  4. Mouth and nose openings radiate the sound waves into the environment.

This reminded me of the part of the interview Michael had with Bashir in which he tells Bashir one of the reasons for his nose surgeries was to improve the sound of his voice.

On a personal experience, during my singing days, I remember the difference in the sound of my voice (and the FEEL, which took me some time to get used to) was when I had two surgeries done to remove adenoids.  At first I felt like I was uncontrollably talking through my nose.  But it allowed freer passage of air/sound through the sinus cavities and the tone of my head voice vastly improved.  I felt like my voice wasn’t mine and I had to relearn how to enunciate my words when singing.

Singers use more than just their vocal chords and lungs.  They use their diaphragm, their tongue, teeth, lips, jaw, position of neck, facial muscles and their nose and nasal/sinus cavities and even their ears (don’t ask, too much of an explanation, but ties in to use of facial muscles).  Voice production source

Musical Screaming:  I don’t consider what Michael did screaming.  Yelling?  It was softer and when he did it, it had a softer quality to it than someone like Steve Tyler.  A good example of this is here, taught by Melissa Cross (The “Zen of Screaming).  When I listen to “Earth Song” for example, the end of the song, Michael’s voice is not grating, yet his voice has a gravelly yelling sound to it.  They call THAT vocal fry (amongst other things).

Melissa Cross Lesson

Death Growl:  “A death growl, also known as death metal vocals, guttural vocals, death grunts, Cookie Monster singing, harsh vocals, unclean vocals, among other names, is a vocalization style usually employed by vocalists of the death metal and black metal music genre, but also used in a variety of heavy metal and hardcore punk subgenres.”  Source

I wasn’t sure this was a Michael-thing or not, but I was looking for the vocal characteristic that Michael displays at the beginning of “Blood on the Dance Floor” – the sound that I have in the past described as “forced hot air.”  The closest thing to a “death growl” that I heard from Michael was in the song, “2000 Watts”.

Example of Death Growl
(NOT my style. Tried to find one that
Didn’t include images of bloody people. Geeze!)

Sociologist Deena Weinstein has noted of death metal, "Vocalists in this style have a distinctive sound, growling and snarling rather than singing the words. Making ample use of the voice distortion box . . . Most "correct" growls use either a variation of vocal fry or false vocal cords. Death growls are often referred to as an overtone style of screaming, and while tonally very different, the majority of "good" growling techniques apply the same principles that are witnessed in "clean" vocals.”

False vocal chords are described above as the membrane that covers or protects the actual vocal folds.  Vocal fry is “the lowest vocal register and is produced through a loose glottal closure which will permit air to bubble through slowly with a popping or rattling sound of a very low frequency.

The mention of overtone singing was also brought up in two of these sources.
This is one example.  Listen closely – two distinct tones, high over low.  The high sounds almost like a whistle.

Seven Styles of Overtone Singing

Example of Whistlevoice

Example of transition from Chest to head voice
(Vocal Breaks)
The “Break” is used by yodelers and is present in
many of Michael’s Vocals.

I have never heard Michael yodel, but I have noticed especially in the song “Break of Dawn”, during the part “Break of Dawn and you know it’s true, oh-ohhhhhhhhh…”  you can hear a soft break from the high “true” down to “Oh-ohhhhhh”.

Don’t laugh, but trying to copy that while driving a moving vehicle, when my voice is naturally a bit higher (comfortably) than his is hard.  I find that sometimes allowing that break when moving to between extreme notes not only takes stress of the chords, but gives the lyrics some body.  Plus, I don’t warm up before trying to sing to Mike (and I’m glad he can’t hear me! LOL!)

Finding your Head Voice
(shy of Falsetto)

Finding your Resonance

There is a whole bunch of these if you ever decide to “self study” yourself into a singing career.  Much of this I didn’t even know the names of the techniques when I was singing.  I just sang.  I knew my head and my chest voice.  I knew what falsetto was, I knew what breaking my voice and yodeling was and I knew what a vibrato was.  I had one year with a vocal coach which is where I learned that much.

The Vibrato

Example of increasing
Vibrato Speed

Another explanation

I think Michael’s voice has one of the best and most pleasant sounding vibratos I have ever heard.  These videos talk about hitting notes without leaving the warmth of your voice behind.  Michael’s voice has a warmth to it, even in his higher notes.   His resonance has a lot to do with that and the rhinoplasties he had done helped him improve upon that as he grew older and lost some height to his voice.  This was discussed briefly in the Bashir interview.

The term “oscillation” is what caught my eye when we were digging into Tesla’s inventions.  I am not sure when or what use Michael got out of this knowledge, but it is evident that study was done on the use of sound, human generated and otherwise, for use that was both destructive and healing.

We know from previous coverage of Tavistock that study was done by their doctors on the use of music, sounds and frequencies of beats and their affects on the human brain.  Could Michael have done study to reverse what they were trying to do?

Michael and Seth Riggs
Vocal Warmups
(Sorry, but these are cute)
Yes, Michael can dig deep for notes!

Michael’s vibrato, I searched and searched for a frequency and could not find anything.  You would think someone would have posted it somewhere (oscillations per second?  I’m not even sure how it would be measured).

If anyone knows what this is, please comment below.  In the meantime, on Friday we are going to do some comparisons with Michael’s vocal range, frequencies and the studies that were done on healing properties.  You will find this very interesting.

  1. Hi Bonnie,

I too have gone to post replies only to have lost them. I have since decided to type them into Word and then copy and paste. At least this way if it's “not able to process at this time” I don't have to start all over or just give up. I've done both in the past.

I'm so glad you've finally been given the peace of mind of FINALLY talking to your mom. It's one thing to hear she's alright but it takes hearing your loved ones voice for the relief to really sink in. What an ordeal! My heart and prayers go out to all.

It's funny that you are now relating to music and healing. All the talk about HAARP and sound waves had gotten me thinking about uses for good, Michael and healing. How he'd had a sound system set up in Neverland so he could have music everywhere because he new about healing vibrations. Have you ever read about the Rife machine, created by Royal Raymond Rife?. He was able to heal cancer and other diseases with his machine but was blocked by the drug companies for obvious reasons. I can't help but wonder if Michael was aware of this technology and put it out there with music to help heal those wonderful little children with cancer that came to visit. That could never be admitted to but I do wonder.

Bonnie, like you, I sang my heart out when I was a kid and dreamed of being on stage singing and acting. As I got older, I decided that lifestyle was not something I wanted to get mixed up in so didn't pursue it. I am still fascinated with the whole process and would love to have been able to have seen Michael really working, creating and recording in the studio. I love watching the “making of” videos. So much creativity! Where I am in life, I feel I have none. I've forgotten how to dream but....Michael's music has reminded me that I am His lovely one - we all are. Thank you, Michael!

This is all interesting, the explanations of the different singing styles and how they are done. I always marvel at how versatile Michael's voice is. Smooth, rough, rocker, jazzy and lyrical to name a few. The only thing I haven't heard him do is country (LOL). His harmonies, all sung separately by him then combined astound me. That was no easy accomplishment. When he does that, I relate it to the sounds of the stream I walk by daily with my dog. His voice is like “many waters”. I've told you before, when I listen to his songs I hear God. Isn't God's voice described that way somewhere in the Bible. Bonnie, you probably know exactly where that is :o).

My prayer: Thank you, God, for putting Michael in my path. As an example of Jesus in this day and age. Thank you for giving him wisdom, bravery and STRENGTH to carry out what you have given him to do. I pray we all take Your precious gifts and go forth just as he, knowing you are our shield and our strength. Keep Michael safe. Protect and guide his family. Surround him with Your love and give him hugs from all of us too!

    Amen

........ That is a good point you bring up. Yes, there was music all over Neverland. There was always music in our house, regardless of anything else that was going on. Mostly C&W but my mother loved music too. I did have a chance to meet with radio stations and recording studio owners and had I said "yes" and had gone back to finish making my demo, I would have had a teacher. He was very excited to show me how all that worked. (It was the only time I can ever remember being so excited about something that I practically jumped at the person saying "I want to learn how to do that!") His whole face lit up, he said I "came to life" after sitting there so quietly. If THAT GUY were to be my manager, I probably would have done it. I really liked him.

We always blend best with our own voices, but I am telling you, my sister and I? We could read each other's minds. We were never off, timing, drawing a note out and clipping it off at the same time, I so much miss singing with her! When my sister and I sang harmony we didn't need instruments and most of the time sang acapella. "All the Gold" and "Seven Bridges Road" would usually bring down the house. I wish she lived closer...

That's amazing you have a similar background and past with music and the "hex" sign on getting into the industry. If it weren't for the "Business" it would still be an art form.

  3. MOTHER

Eons of time I have been in gestating
To take a form been hesitating
From the unmanifest This cosmic conception
On this earth a fantastic reception
And then one fateful August morn
From your being I war born
With tender love you nurtured a seed
To your own distress you paid no heed
Unmindful of any risk and danger
you decided upon this lonely stranger

Rainbows, clouds, the deep blue sky
Glittering birds that fly on high
Out of fragments you’ve made my whole
From the Elements you fashioned my soul
Mother dear, you gave me life
Because to you, no struggle or strife
You gave me joy and position
    Cared for me without condition
And if I ever change this world
It is from the emotions you’ve unfurl’d
Your compassion is so sweet and dear
Your finest feelings I can hear
I can sense your faintest notion
The wondrous magic of your love potion

And now that I have come so far
Met with every king and czar
    Encountered every color and creed
    Of every passion, every greed
I go back to that starry night
With not a fear for muscle or might
You taught me how to stand and fight
For every single wrong and right
    Every day without a hold
I will treasure what you have mold
I will remember your every kiss
Your sweet words I’ll never miss
No matter where I go from here
You're in my heart, my dear mother.

    A hug!

  4. Hello, Bonnie, I have continued to read your blog even though some months ago you opened a door for discussion in which I couldn't participate, i.e., antigovernment, Illuminati, hoax possibility, Obama, Osama, etc. Please post this comment or not, at your discretion. I merely wanted you to be aware (if you are not) of Jermaine Jackson's tweets yesterday dispelling "the hoax". I won't post them here, you know where they are and it would be your decision to do so. His information is quite sincere. Your Michael/music analysis is a good read and very thought provoking. I listen to Michael in all my free moments away from work. There will never be another.

  5. @Skiper - Thank you for posting that about Michael's poem "Mother". Very, very appropriate. I also forgot to mention Jackie's birthday. I don't know all their birthday's so I was unaware that Jackie's and Miss Katherine's were on the same day (We have that anomaly in my family too). So Jackie, where every your eyeballs are, please forgive me and Happy Belated Birthday. :o(
    --------------------------------------------

@June - Thank you for coming over her and posting after so many months. I'm sure You couldn't wait to post that. Make sure Branca's bloggers get the news too, as I'm sure they are very busy nowadays trying to re-spin their story on Johnson and Heal the World.

In regard to Jermaine's Twitters, yes I did see them. And if you saw them then you saw mine. I will be addressing them on tonight's blog along with a few other things.

Illuminati - It doesn't matter whether Michael is dead or alive in regard to this, because many others ARE and STILL CONTINUE TO DIE. All you have to do is watch the news to see verification of this going on. Jermaine's tweets will not change the direction of this blog, but thank you for trying. Just as has happened with your group and Branca so will the patriots of this lie being trust upon us. They don't care about you either. You will learn that soon enough.

  6. @June - BTW, you forgot to post "Jermaine can't be trusted". Did that change over there now too?

    You are likeable!

Bonnie said:"His resonance has a lot to do with that and the rhinoplasties he had done helped him improve upon that as he grew older and lost some height to his voice. This was discussed briefly in the Bashir interview."
Bonnie, I remember when Michael spoke of his nose, surgery to improve his voice.
I believe in what he said, in part. But I believe also for his obsession with perfection.
I believe that when you reach certain heights, you're forced to have an "image". Most important for all the stars. Michael was a superstar.
This weakness of Michael I did not like.
Although I understand why he did it.

Michael was a wonderful person. I love him more than ever. He did not need to prove anything because he was beautiful both inside and outside. But he was very insecure and I think I know why, unfortunately.

A warm hug to mom and grandmother Katherine.
A woman who I admire a lot because she has so much strength.

Birthdays are too many to remember, for the large family Jackson. I understand and I'm sure even the Jackson family.
Bonnie However, we can help (commentators and friends) because we all love you for everything you do, every day, for Michael.

  11. Hi Bonnie,
I love singing. So I enjoyed this blog entry very much. Lots of info about singing. Some of which I knew, some of which is new to me great stuff!
I was in my church choir when I was a child. I was in the choir from 7 years old to when I was 15. I was also in my school choir at what Americans call 'High school'. I have also joined a couple of choirs as an adult. I'm not in a choir at the moment.
I also have had some private singing lessons and I've been on a few singing courses. I love singing a lot and have even thought about being a professional singer but the lifestyle put me off, there is a lot of pressure I think put on professional singers sometimes and the music industry can be very nasty and cruel as we know from this blog and what happened to Michael!
I love to sing Christian music, Christian hymns and gospel music are great.
I would love to hear Michael sing again. I love the sound of Michael's laugh as well it would be great to hear him laugh again and Michael has such a nice speaking voice as well. Maybe we will hear Michael sing again if like you say Bonnie Michael Jackson is still alive. I really hope you are right! xxxx

.......... Skiper you are very sweet. You are very likable too. ♥ It's nice to have a big family. I remember I wanted to be a member of the "Waltons" family . . . just a member of any family that still knew how to be one would have been nice. Hugs back to you.

......... I have not seen Pearl's comments but have seen Karen's. I hope you have some patience because I am having a real hard time with this blog entry, but yes, it will be up tonight. Talk about lost? I know. It's not fair at all considering the fans are not the ones writing this script and putting out the conflicting information. Give me some time okay, because I am really, really angry.

@Skiper - Thank you for the link Skiper. I will look at it when I have more time. I have a blog entry started in Branca but of course, DECEPTION has to be addressed first. Can't let Faye out of the spotlight, she might lose a hair.

......... It's not a healthy environment and as much as I like music, I'm afraid to listen to it anymore. I feel like I am supporting evil. I listen to Michael's CD's that someone sent me but only in the car. I search out music that might fit the mood of subject of the blog and I LOVE SOUTHERN GOSPEL!!! Just voices. I was once told I would make a terrible choir singer even though I could sing harmony with my sister perfectly. I wasn't "background vocal material" they told me, LOL, whatever that means. I could be heard above them.

......... I like his speaking voice, even though he has said on stage "I don't like to talk much..." He has one of those soothing voices to listen to. When the world figures out what the heck it is doing, maybe . . . until then we have to hang into shadows and deceptions and it would really help if Michael's family were not one of those throwing those shadows.

Aside from that, I will address Jermaine's twitters later tonight. If Michael were dead, none of this drama would exist and if Jermaine could at least be COMPASSIONATE about those his comments hurt, he would stop inciting fans with the very information they keep asking him questions about. He's giving those people that have already hurt fans an opportunity to continue doing so and Ironically they are the same people that have hurt him, his mom and his brother Michael.

  14. Hi Bonnie,
The Branca's interview really makes me seek. Why is this person allowed to even talk about MJ? Read this one please:
"JB: I had not been working with Michael since 2006. I had resigned. But in 2009, he signed up for the This Is It concert tour. I said to myself humbly, “I’m not sure that there’s anybody else that can help Michael achieve what he wants to achieve. Not artistically, because he was the master with that, but business-wise. I called the AEG people and his manager to simply let Michael know if he wanted any help and had the interest, I’m here for him."
By his own assumption, HE HAD NOT BEEN HIRED BY MJ HIMSELF!!!
Bonnie, i read your instructive blog every day, though i'm too busy at work to post any comment. But i wanted to react on this one. I'm really sick .
Big hugs to all , even to Michael, wherever he is, even at Heaven.

  15. Bonnie, this was a great Part-2. Michael's vocal warmups were a delight to listen to. No chalk on a blackboard here! Michael has perfect pitch and listening to that audio tape makes you realize just how hard he worked to perfect his craft. All the details were serious business to Michael, and he made the finished product we see and hear appear to have happened without effort. That is Michael's magic!

Bonnie said - "If Michael were dead, none of this drama would exist and if Jermaine could at least be COMPASSIONATE about those his comments hurt, he would stop inciting fans with the very information they keep asking him questions about."

    >>>>>>>>>>Bonnie, I am just as conflicted as you are about Jermaine's latest tweets, but perhaps all is not as it seems. If the situation surrounding Michael's career for decades was as sensitive as your research has revealed - and I believe it is, we can't possibly be privy to all there is to know right now. Remember when Jermaine tweeted not to judge a book by its cover, because all is not as it seems? Maybe Jermaine's tweets were in Michael's best interests. Sometimes it's not what someone says, but what they do NOT say.

Bonnie, please keep the faith - and when all else fails, don't forget, there is still the White Fedora!

    Love you...HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

......... You are not alone on that one. I am sick too. I never believed that Michael hired Branca back. I don't believe he was hired back at all. Once Sony took possession of the footage, people were added in there and I believe Branca was one of them. That man is so contemptible he has NO SCRUPLES. Sony turned This is It into their own little propaganda machine. No, Michael never hired Branca back. Most close to Michael (truly close) said he did not trust him at all.

......... I hope so. I don't understand him entertaining Karen Faye and how that could possibly be in Michael's best interests, but I was told after posting the above that Jermaine's twitters had something to do with Pearl Jr. NONE of this is very dignified and I'm sick of Michael being the victim of everything. These people do not care, all this is HURTFUL! When do the tears stop? When do the lies stop?
