Silence Under The Seventh Seal
"Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober."
This was the last Bible verse on the blog “Obamathe Devil…”
In a week’s time, I saw a message twice, referencing the Seventh Seal in Revelation. So I went back and read that, even while my compiling and research for the other two blogs going up today was being done.
This information is timely because it fits.
As I said in the previous blog linked there above, “We are not going to know EVERYTHING. But we are going to see the signs. The reason Jesus tells us parables to “watch” and not “sleep” is because the signs will not be overt. This was what disappointed me, as it did back in December of 2012 and January of 2013. It’s not going to be cut and dry. They do this in darkness but become bolder, believing that the masses are not paying attention and truthfully most of us are not.”
If you believe the dreams God sends you, and you believe His Word, and you trust he connected you to another heart for a reason, then the markers of that timeline are still what they are, whether it is positioned with fanfare announcements or not; whether it is globally recognized as such. Chances are, it will not be. We see or we don’t.
Now let’s take a look at that Seventh Seal:
The opening of the seals begins in chapter six of Revelation. We discussed this over a year ago, and the way I read this, I do not get the impression that this happens as a chronological event, but that some of the signs have been ongoing since the time of Christ, and possibly in cycles before then (The flood of Noah for example). The opening of the seals reveals that these are the signs that have happened.
1st Seal – A white horse with he that rides him coming to conquer (mimic of the son of man on the white horse).
2nd Seal – Red horse who’s rider is given power to take peace from the earth and killing occurs. (This has been happening).
3rd Seal – The black horse who’s rider holds balances in his hand, depicting the Babylonian money system. That all should pay increasing prices for basic needs.
4th Seal – A pale horse who’s rider is called “Death” and Hades followed with him. They kill with the sword, with hunger, with death (disease) and the beasts (already has been happening).
5th Seal – The souls under the alter of God cry out for justice. God tells them to wait a little while, until the number of their brethren (martyrs, killed for the name of Christ) has been complete.
6th Seal – A great earthquake, the sun becomes black as sackcloth, moon as blood. The stars of heaven fall to the earth and heaven departs as a scroll rolled together. Every mountain and Island are moved out of their place. The kings of the earth and great men/merchants of the earth hide themselves away in caves and rocks of the mountains (Denver Airport, underground cities etc…)
Verse 17, the last verse in chapter six, tells us that the great day of his wrath has come. This is the end of the tribulation. The elect are gathered before this time, according to Jesus in Matthew 24:21-23.
Who knows if this all happens simultaneously, spread out over a period of the Tribulation, or if this happens in conjunction with the seventh trumpet or seven bowls?
Interestingly, in Chapter sixteen of Revelation, the signs of the 6th seal describe almost exactly the plagues from the seventh vial or bowl, of a great earthquake, of mountains and Islands being moved out of their place and that great voice which says “It is done”, just as it is in the opening of the 6th seal in Revelation 6.
So let’s look at the seven trumpets and the seven vials.
Chapter 8 in Revelation begins with the silence in Heaven, then the seven angels standing before God, given seven trumpets. This is they:
1st Trumpet – Hail and fire mingled with blood when the first angels sounds. The third part of trees and all grass is burnt up.
2nd Trumpet – as like a great mountain burning, is cast into the sea. A third part of the sea became blood. A third part of the sea creatures die and a third of all ships are destroyed.
3rd Trumpet – a great star falls from heaven, burning like a lamp. It falls upon the third part of rivers and fountains of waters. The star’s name is “Wormwood”. The third part of these waters become bitter and men die because the water is bitter.
4th Trumpet sounds – a third part of the sun, moon and stars are stricken. The day shines not a third part, and the same for the night. An angel cries woe to the inhabitants of the earth for the coming last three trumpet voices.
Chapter 9 continues the Trumpets
5th Trumpet sounds – A star falls from Heaven to the earth. This angel has the key to the bottomless pit. Out of the pit comes smoke, locusts like scorpions with fire coming from their mouths and tails. Power was given to them, but they are told not to hurt any green thing except the men without the seal of God on their foreheads (chapt. 7, after the sixth seal is opened but before the 7th). They are to torment men for five months (why five? Get to that later) but not kill them. They will wish they were dead but will not find death.
The king over these scorpions who have breastplates like horses and hair like a women’s hair is the angel of the bottomless pit (Satan, or Lucifer, the spirit of? The false prophet).
6th Trumpet sounds – The four angels bound at the river Euphrates are released to slay a third part of men. Their horses number 200 thousand thousands. These horses have heads like lions. Fire and brimstone issues out of their mouths and they destroy the third part of men. None repent.
Revelation Chapter ten discusses the seventh trumpet.
7th Trumpet Sounds – A mighty angel with a little book tells John to eat the book and not to write down the what the voices of the seven thunders uttered. The angel gives John the little book to eat, that is sweet in his mouth but bitter in his belly. Verse six, this angel swears by Him that liveth forever that there should be time no longer.
It is not until Chapter eleven that we find out the rest of this. Revelation11:12-19 starts with the two witnesses, after being killed and laying dead for three and a half days in the city SPIRITUALLY called Sodom and Egypt “where also our Lord was crucified”. These witnesses are brought back to life and called up by God. All see and fear.
A mighty earthquake, a tenth part of the city fell and seven thousand men were killed in that city. The REMNANT feared and gave glory to God. Could this be the 144,000 in Revelation 7?
Then the 7th Trumpet Sounded (as above) - Great voices in Heaven saying the kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ. The nations are angry and the time of the judgment of the dead have come. The temple of God is opened and seen was the arc of his testament.
There are thundering, lightnings, an earthquake and a great hail.
It is done. We will get to all this another time. Right now we are reconciling the three sevens. As you can see, quite a few of them coincide with a number in the other set. Below are the seven vials or bowls of the plagues. These befall those who have the mark of the beast.
Chapter 16 of Revelation, the seven bowls/vials
1st bowl – there fell a noisome and grevious sore on those with the mark of the beast.
2nd bowl – the sea became as blood of a dead man and every living soul died in the sea.
3rd bowl – rivers and fountains of waters become blood. Angels says this is “just” for those who spilled the blood of the saints, that they drink blood.
4th bowl – angel pours vial on the sun and men are scorched with great heat and they repent not.
5th bowl – 5th angel poured his vial on the seat of the beast (in the temple , the seat of the soul of men with the mark of the beast) and his kingdom was full of darkness. They knaw their tongues for the pain.
6th bowl – Vial is poured out on the “great river, Euphrates”. It dries up to make way for the Kings of the East. Three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouths of the dragon, the beast and the false prophet. Verse 15 tells us that he “comes as a thief in the night. Blessed is he that watcheth and keep his garments”. This seems to signify the closeness of the gathering up. “he” gathers them in a place called Armaggedon, which means in Hebrew, according to Wikipedia, “gathering” or “a gathering place”. Apocalypse and it’s meaning, we covered before. This word is NOT in the Bible, or at least not in the King James Version.
"The Greek title of the book, apokalupsis, means “disclosure: appearing, coming, [en]lighten, manifestation, be revealed, revelation” and “a disclosure of truth, instruction, concerning divine things before unknown.” - Source, realtruth.org
The mystery of God should be finished. In Hebrew, Armaggedon is said to mean "gathering" or "gathering place".
Considering that the great day of judgement will consist of "the books were opened and another book was opened, which is the lamb's Book of Life . . ." Rev 20:12. It is also told in Daniel 7:10 about the books being opened.
7th bowl – A great voice from Heaven says “It is done”. Voices, thunders and lightnings. A great earthquake such as was not since there were men on the earth. The great city was divided into three parts. The cities of the nations fell. Great Babylon was remembered by God, to give to her the fierceness of his wrath.
Every island fled away and the mountains were not found. A great hail fell out of heaven and men blasphemied God because of the plague of the hail, it was so great.
In Revelation 17, John is told by one of the great angels that had the seven vials, the judgment of the great whore, who she is, what she has done. She is the mystery religion. She is the mother of harlots (who played the harlot? “Israel and her treacherous sister, Judah” – Jeremiah 3:6-8) and the abominations of the earth (mother of the corruption since the beginning, and the abominations overspread by the beast).
The angel explains to John the beast from the pit that was, is not yet is, the seven mountains and seven kings; five are fallen, one is, and one is not yet come which will continue a short pace.
The beast that was, is not yet is, is the eighth, and is yet of the seven. The ten horns are ten kings that have not been given a kingdom but receive power with the beast for “one hour”. We will go into this also, because now, we go back to the seventh seal.
There are several things that are rising to the surface in my mind, as if the scripture is running them through like a ticker-tape, and certain key words or phrases are being pulled out and set in boxes for me pull from other scripture later.
Of those small pieces of Biblical information is the numbers and time, reference to time and the ending of time.
Another is the silence in Heaven and the half an hour and another, is the new name of the son of man written on the hearts of the saved.
I did some researching on the half an hour in heaven. Some of those that have written their thoughts on this, I agree with in part. Others I do not at all. But they still help trigger those keys and help me find verification yea or nay. And of course there is prayer if it can be read either way in the scripture, and you want not to be swayed.
God will answer if you truly want to understand. But the answer may be delayed either because He knows the time, or because your mind is not clear, and I have experienced that feeling as well. You know it. If you get angry for a selfish reason, you feel the vacuum of His disapproval.
At times like that I strive to get my mind back to where I was when I prayed that prayer. That cleansing of self and the offering to God of you, as a living sacrifice and I remember where I’m supposed to be heart and mind. That Christ-like offering, as close as we are ever going to get is the desire to give that to God.
I cling to that, rather faultily, but I cling to it, because it is in itself, that living offering is cleansing. It is healing and it is redeeming because I understand the heart of Christ at that moment and that makes us one with Him.
With that in my heart, mind and soul, I embark on the silence in Heaven.
One article I found was rather interesting. I am understanding that this person views the seven seals being opened is followed by the seven trumpets and THEN the seven bowls of the plagues being poured out.
“**** YET, STARTING IN REVELATION CHAPTER 8, JOHN SEES FIRST HAND FROM HEAVEN A SERIES OF DIVINE PLAGUES THAT ARE THE “ULTIMATE IN BIBLICAL PROPORTIONS.”
(3) FOR AS BAD AS THE FIRST SIX SEAL JUDGMENTS WERE IN REVELATION CHAPTER 6, THEY PALE IN SCOPE, INTENSITY AND IMPACT TO THE SEVENTH TRUMPET JUDGMENT THAT FOLLOW AND THE SEVEN BOWL JUDGMENTS THAT FOLLOW THE SEVEN TRUMPET JUDGMENTS.”
For some strange reason, the link to this commentary is no longer here and that’s a shame, because they had some good points. Blogger responsible for this, my apologies. Please forgive me.
They said something interesting below (their type is in all caps so that is the way I will quote it):
“* BELOVED, WHEN THE LAMB, THE LORD JESUS OPENS THE 7TH AND LAST SEAL ON THE LITTLE SCROLL THAT WAS THE TITLE DEED TO THE EARTH IN REVELATION 5:1.”
** WHEN CHRIST DOES THAT, THE JUDGMENTS OF THE DAY OF THE LORD WILL INTENSIFY AND EXPAND – GROW DRAMATICALLY.”
I don’t know where they get the “title deed to the earth” from Revelation 5:1, but it is interesting. Revelation 5:1 tells us the lamb who is sitting on the throne is holding the “book that is written”, and on the back side it is sealed with seven seals. The blogger then says this:
“*** FOR THIS FINAL SEAL CONTAINS WITHIN IT THE FULL SWEEP OF THE REMAINING JUDGMENTS FROM GOD OF THE TIME OF THE GREAT TRIBULATION, THE LAST 3 ½ YEARS OF GOD’S WRATH BEING POURED OUT.
**** FOR OUT OF THE SEVENTH SEALS COMES THE SEVEN TRUMPET JUDGMENTS AND OUT OF THE 7TH TRUMPET JUDGMENT COMES THE 7 BOWL JUDGMENTS, WHICH YOU CAN SEE ON A CHART TAKEN FROM THE BIBLE KNOWLEDGE COMMENTARY.”
Ah! I found it. So all that you see in all caps, italicized and quoted comes from this link here: Bible Knowledge Commentary
I’m not going to go over every point because I have above all the signs and plagues from Revelation 8-16 listed. My interest is in their view of the silence in Heaven.
Below, their view of the seals, trumpets and bowls is this:
“ (4) IN OTHER WORDS, FROM THE SEVENTH SEAL, THE SEVEN TRUMPETS ROLL OUT AND FROM THE SEVENTH TRUMPET ROLL OUT THE SEVEN BOWL JUDGMENTS.
* AND THOUGH SOME BELIEVE THE JUDGMENTS OF THE TRUMPET AND BOWL JUDGMENTS HAPPEN SIMULTANEOUSLY WITH THOSE OF THE SIXTH SEAL.
** IT APPEARS MORE LIKELY TO THEM AS TELESCOPING OUT OF EACH OTHER, ONE AFTER ANOTHER, SEQUENTIALLY, THAT THEY ARE SUCCESSIVE.
*** NOW THE REASON FOR THIS VIEW IS THERE IS NO DESCRIPTION OF JUDGMENT IN THE 7TH SEAL, BUT AN ANTICIPATION OF TERRIBLE JUDGMENT FOLLOWED IMMEDIATELY IN THE TEXT BY THE 7 TRUMPET JUDGMENTS.
**** THEN, THE 7TH TRUMPET JUDGMENT DOES NOT IN ESSENCE DESCRIBE A JUDGMENT IN CHAPTER 11 VERSES 15-17, BUT RATHER CONTAINS THE ANTICIPATION OF HEAVENLY REJOICING OVER THE NEXT JUDGMENTS TO COME, THE BOWL JUDGMENTS WHICH WILL LEAD TO THE FINAL DESTRUCTION AND ESTABLISHMENT OF THE RULE OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AS HE COMES BACK TO THE EARTH IN REVELATION 19.”
I do not necessarily subscribe to this, because as you can see in scripture, some of these signs repeat themselves or mirror a judgment from the previous set, such as the seventh trumpet and the seventh bowl/vial share the earthquake that moves mountains and a great hail that falls from Heaven.
However I do agree with their observations on the silence in Heaven.
“** NOW THE PROGRESSIVE JUDGMENTS WITHIN THE 7TH SEAL WILL TAKE PLACE OVER THE LAST 3 ½ YEARS OF THE TRIBULATION.
**** SO THE SEVENTH SEAL OPENS UP ALL THE JUDGMENTS THAT FOLLOW UNTIL THE RETURN OF CHRIST.”
They go on to assert that there is really no time table for the seven trumpets and bowls other than the mention of the “power to hurt men five months” in Revelation 9:10. That but that’s not the case either.
After the breaking of the seventh seal, there is silence in Heaven for about a half an hour. This blogger classifies this as the “calm before the storm” and I agree. But the “half-hour” intrigued me. What did that mean?
Considering such emphasis is placed on the seventh seal, I thought that half hour may be very important. Especially since it was a specific question posed to me by someone in email.
Everything about the end times and the “times and season” we see these signs, focuses on the seven year tribulation and the “half time” or second half of the tribulation.
Verification of this interpretation of the “half hour” is found in Revelation 17, where we learn that the beast that was, is not yet is, is also the “eighth, but also of the seven”.
“And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. 12. And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. 13. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast."
They do discuss the silence:
“ *** NOW AS CHRIST BREAKS OPEN THE SEVENTH SEAL THERE IS SILENCE IN HEAVEN FOR ABOUT HALF AN HOUR.
**** AND THIS SILENCE IS SIGNIFICANT.
1. IT IS SIGNIFICANT FOR THIS IS PROBABLY ONLY THE 2’D TIME IN THE HISTORY OF CREATION, SINCE GOD CREATED EVERYTHING INCLUDING THE ANGELS, THE CHERUBIM, THE SERAPHIM, THAT THERE IS SILENCE IN HEAVEN.
2. AND THE ONLY OTHER TIME THAT I CAN THINK OF THAT THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED WOULD BE WHEN CHRIST WAS ON THE CROSS AND GOD HAD TO PULL THE WINDOW SHADES OF HEAVEN AS JESUS BECAME THE SIN OFFERING, THE LAMB WHO WOULD DIE AN HORRIFIC DEATH.
* AND THAT IS ONLY SPECULATION. I DON’T HAVE SCRIPTURE TO BE AUTHORITATIVE ON THAT, BUT CERTAINLY THAT IS A REASONABLE CONJECTURE.” – Source, Bible Knowledge Commentary
When you think about this, this three hours between noon and three pm, before Christ dies, the land is in darkness. Christ is also dead for three days when he is resurrected. It is described by another web site as the three hours that God regards Christ as “sin”. And as God turns his face from “sin”, even creation mourns. This is why Jesus cries out “why hast thou forsaken me?”
This is the first time in Christ’s physical life that he has felt the absence of the presence of God. There is no other loneliness, hopelessness like it. It is the absence of hope. The absence of light. The absence of life.
Not only is this significant in the silence in heaven for the second time mentioned in the Bible. It is significant because God is going to step back and no longer withhold evil for the space of “half an hour”. This is half of the tribulation and I believe this is the first half of the tribulation because in 2 Thessalonians 2, we are told that “he that withholdeth will do so until he is taken out of the way. Then evil will be revealed.
Evil cannot reveal itself in the presence of God. So the spirit of God in “God’s servant” would have to be gone before Satan could take over the “temple of his body”.
Between the first half and the second half of the tribulation, we watch this emerge in the absence of He that has the power to withhold.
We previously had talked about Michael Jackson being that vessel in which the presence of God will leave, and the spirit of Satan would fill that vessel, creating that abomination in the temple. This would also fit the first half of the tribulation. A sign that some would recognize and some would not.
(Don’t shut your eyes yet, I’m not done).
At the end of this web page, the person calls everyone to pray. Now I do not agree with all interpretations, because as we’ve studied before, the angels are described several places in the Bible as “sons of God”. In the new Testament, Paul tells us that Jesus gave us the power to be “sons of God”.
The Archangel Michael and Jesus cross paths between Heaven and earth. Jesus is only named in Heaven, namely in Revelation in reference to what he did while he was in the flesh. But Michael and Jesus have the same powers to rebuke Satan and defeat him. Michael is the angel with the army and so is Jesus in the book of Revelation. We’ve proved this with Scripture on “Voice of the Archangel Speaks”
I will continue on that thought in a minute. Something struck me on this web page, toward the bottom:
**** MAY WE BE MEN AND WOMEN OF PRAYER.
1. PRAY IN YOUR QUIET TIMES.
2. PRAY AT ALL TIMES
3. PRAY WITH OTHERS – FLOCKS AND 9:15 A.M.
4. BUT PRAY DEARLY BELOVED!
“Flocks and 9:15 A.M.”? There is verses in reference to the calling up and not “sleeping” that have to do with the morning.
"For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."
"O house of David, thus saith the Lord; Execute judgment in the morning, and deliver him that is spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings."
The parable of the master and the watchmen.
"Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:"
Jesus is resurrected in the morning
'And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun."
"Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them."
Jesus is resurrected in the very early morning. We are told to watch and not sleep, for the master may come in the morning. David is told that judgment should be executed in the morning and in Psalms David tells us that “joy comes in the morning”.
Something else that sparked my brain:
Michael Jackson’s Clocks
9:15 or 10:20 – however you want to turn it.
And the verse in “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You” lyrics (after “Heaven’s glad you came”) we see:
"Whispers At Morning
Our Love Is Dawning
Heaven's Glad You Came . . "
"When Morning Awakes Me
Will You Come And Take Me
I'll Wait For You"
Another, very popular forum, someone also commented on the “Silence in Heaven” and it was this search result that prompted me to verify through scripture, and I agree with them.
"I'm going to be asking the question; what does John mean by the statement that "There was silence in heaven for half an hour"?
So, breaking it down...
What does he mean by "half an hour"?
There's a reference to "one hour" later in the book. It comes in ch 17 v12, which tells us that the ten kings "receive authority as kings for one hour, together with the beast".
If we see "one hour" in one part of Revelation, and "half an hour" in another part, it seems reasonable to suppose that the two are connected.
So I suggest that the phrase "half an hour" means "one portion of the reign of the Beast".
What does he mean by "silence in heaven"?
There's an important clue in the way the silence gets broken, a few verses further down. There are "peals of thunder, voices, flashes of lightning" in v5, just as the seven trumpets are about to start work. We get the same thing at the time of the seventh trumpet(ch11 v19)- thunder and lightning and voices. God sends down trouble upon the earth, and this is accompanied by (and seems to be signalled by) what could be described as "noise in heaven".
If the presence of "noise in heaven" (i.e. thunder and lightning and voices) indicates a time when God is bringing trouble on the earth...
Then presumably "silence in heaven" (i.e. the absence of thunder and lightning and voices) is an oblique way of indicating a time when God is NOT bringing trouble on the earth.
Putting those two pieces of information together, I suggest that "There was silence in heaven for half an hour" can be interpreted as "The Beast rules for a certain period of time, and for the first half of that period God does not trouble it, does not try to destroy it."
Putting this into the context of the overall "storyline" of the book...
This period of relative tranquillity is sandwiched between two bouts of havoc and destruction.
The first part of the sandwich is the "4 Horseman" episode. That is brought to an end in ch7 vv1-3, when the angels are told to restrain the four destructive "winds of heaven", which have been blowing, metaphorically, all the way through ch6.
The description of the 7 trumpets and 7 bowls is the other side of the sandwich.
On this reading of the story, the Beast is prospering, and presumably rising to power, at a time when the world is taking a deep breath and trying to recover from the first bout of destruction.
If, then, there was a regime which was apparently pulling the world back together and reviving global society after the events of the 4 Horsemen, surely that regime would be welcomed at the time as "saviours of the world". They could get the enthusiastic support of most of the world without much need for compulsion.
During his commentary, he makes a good point above in mentioning the “saviors” and the false peace, which is brought in by the false prophet.
So we have the opening of the seven seals. Some of these signs are things that have happened or have been happening in graduating severity, and some have not happened yet.
At the opening of the seventh seal, there is silence in Heaven for a “half an hour”. That is half of the hour that the ten kings will rule with the beast, so we know this represents either the start of the Tribulation or the halfway mark.
Since God turns his face from the earth, this would understandably have to coincide with the “taking out of the way”, the one who withhold’s evil, and we know from Daniel that this is Michael, or Michael/Jesus. This is knitted together in Daniel 12, Matthew 24, Mark 13, 2 Thessalonians 2, and Revelation 12 and 13.
We also know that some of the events in the Seven Seals are the same events that occur in the sounding of the Trumpets and the pouring out of the bowls of plagues.
The silence in Heaven preceeds the catastrophies to come and we know that at the sounding of the 7th Trumpet that the angels gather the elect in 1 Corinthians:
"In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."
We are also told by Jesus that he comes at the end of the Tribulation (the sounding of the trumpet) and NOT to be deceived in Matthew 24:
"Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory."
The days of the tribulation will be shortened for the elect according to Matthew 24:22. But in Matthew 24:31, we are told that at the last trumpet, he (son of man) will send his angels to gather the elect.
However, the coming of the son of man also comes WITH the voice of an archangel and the trumpet in 1 Thessalonians 4:
"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:"
Biblically, we are nearing the end of the silence in Heaven. Right before Michael left us, or was taken out of the way, he left us with this:
This is it, Here I stand
I’m the light of the world I feel grand . . .
This is it, I can say
I’m the light of the world run away . . .
This is it, I can feel
I’m the light of the world this is real
And your soul we can save
And I tell you please, let us pray
In the beginning, I prayed the prayer. My answer? A kiss on the cheek in the middle of the night, by something unseen. A kiss that told me that God protected him.
And if I was moved to pray for the pain of that man, a man that most in my church believed was burning in hell – well, then who am I to argue God’s answer?
The quiet before the storm. You have some time, but not a lot. Remember the delusion.
Next – A lamentation for the people.
