Silence is Golden Part IV



The Kingdom and the Sea





"And he made a molten sea, ten cubits from the one brim to the other: it was round all about, and his height was five cubits: and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about."

"Also he made a molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in compass, and five cubits the height thereof; and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about."

Did you catch it?

Two days ago, I had three dreams.  Not back to back, but with waking after each one and going back to sleep.  This is how I remember them better.

Dream #1

The first dream, I was sitting on the ground in robes and I was with a multitude, all sitting on the ground.  My knees were drawn up to my chest and my arms cradled my knees with my hands clasped together over each other.  I couldn’t tell you if I was male or female, but I was sitting with the multitude about twenty or so people back from the one who was standing and speaking.

Everyone’s attention was on the one who was speaking and we were all enthralled.  The speaker was standing on a small knoll, slightly elevated from us.  Out of this mound there were rocks came which came up out of the dirt.  He was standing on one of the rocks which was rounded and worn and it was level enough to stand on.  He was flanked by two others who were quiet and listening as he spoke.  Their arms were folded in front of them with their hands clasped as the one who spoke raised his hands, animating his speech.  One of the men had almost black hair and curly with grey strands through it.   The other man was a bit younger with lighter brown hair of heavier texture. 

The man who was speaking had whitish grey hair with black strands still present throughout.  His hair was stiffer than that of the man with black hair even though they resembled each other.  The man who was speaking was older with much more grey.  All three wore the same type of robes.

The man who was speaking spoke of a journey we were to make and the details of it.  He was mentally preparing us for this journey.  The journey was to free us but it was also to cleanse us and we understood our destination would take much time because of this.

I did not know who the other two men were who stood with him because it was not important for me to know; but I knew in my heart without hearing his name that the one speaking was Moses and I awoke.

The dream in my heart when I awoke exhilarated me.  I felt also that this was what God wanted me to see although I am not sure of the purpose as of yet.  Perhaps I was just to “feel” Moses at that moment.  From this I understood when I awoke that regardless of what was understood by the people at the time this took place, Moses did prepare them for tribulation in the wilderness and the purpose of the length of the journey.  It was to understand the value of faith and trust in God, and to exercise both during affliction and times of uncertainty.

Dream #2

The second dream came to me in just as acute detail, but it was short and I do not know the purpose of it.  In the dream I was with a group of about four or five people and we were younger (I was younger, their age) approximately in our twenties, possibly late teens.  We were walking up a city street which was desolate of any other life and it was dawn.  The light was just coming up in the city.

We approached a street corner and we saw something on the ground in what is best described as a blanket-type carrier/harness you might use for a small dog to carry him.  Wrapped up in this carrier was a cream-colored, full size cat.  The cat was lifeless even though it looked healthy and clean.  Its eyes remained open and its mouth partly ajar.

One of us had walked over the animal in this “blanket carrier” not realizing an animal was in it until the tip of someone’s foot rolled it and a part of the blanket fell from its face.  We all encircled it and leaned over it to see it.

Someone asked, “Is it dead?” 

I leaned closer to it and said to it “Why won’t you eat?”  I leaned over to pick it up by the handles that were sown into the blanket portion of it and when I did, the animal rolled out because the blanket/carrier wasn’t secure.  However as the cat “unrolled” from the blanket, it turned into a little girl with just shorts and a t-shirt who was in a fetal position.  The little girl might have been about seven or eight years old.  She had very light, golden brown hair, straight and midway down her back, she had bangs and her eyes were light colored and stared straight ahead.

I leaned over her again and laid my hand on her forehead, “Why didn’t you eat?” I asked again and I knew she was alive before I woke up.

I do not know what the dream meant if anything when I woke up.  It was strange.  Neither the cat nor the girl it turned into looked malnourished and both were clean and rather healthy looking.  The only thing I am getting from this as I write this, in my heart I feel this has to do with people refusing nourishment not with food, but with the Word.  Cats in other dreams of mine usually represent a connection to evil or represent negative thoughts or actions and are usually visible in my dreams with acute emotions of such as in the cat I was fighting in the hallway in a dream a few months back.  In this one a cat turns into a little girl.  The cat is either dead or near death but when I go to touch it we see it for what it really is, a child who refused to be nourished.  That dream made me sad and I hope we don’t lose any of them.

Dream #3

I went back to sleep and this dream was a lot fuzzier.   The only thing I remember of it was that I was being ridiculed and made fun of.  I couldn’t see where I was but I was either surrounded by or in front of a group of people who were cat-calling and ridiculing something I had just told them.  It was a very isolated and uncomfortable feeling, but I remember feeling unashamed and sure of whatever it was that I had said, almost like I was expecting the reaction I was receiving.  I was waiting for something . . . one or two people that I knew would understand what I said because that is why I was there.  As soon as I registered that feeling I awoke.

None of these dreams have anything to do with the topic at hand, but I wanted to share them with you.



The Molten Sea





On "Silence is Golden Part II" we spoke briefly about Ron Wyatt's discovery of the "Ark of the Covenant" and the description of the same in the Biblical account.

Of those verses cited on Ron Wyatt's web site, is Jeremiah 28:3 and the declaration that the Lord would bring the vessels back that were taken out of the Lord's house by Nebuchadnezzar.

"Within two full years will I bring again into this place all the vessels of the Lord's house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried them to Babylon:"

We also spoke of the discrepancies in the description of the items that were returned, and their condition when they were taken.    Those verses were in 2 Kings 25 and Jeremiah 52:

"And the pillars of brass that were in the house of the Lord, and the bases, and the brasen sea that was in the house of the Lord, did the Chaldees break in pieces, and carried the brass of them to Babylon.

14. And the pots, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away.   15. And the firepans, and the bowls, and such things as were of gold, in gold, and of silver, in silver, the captain of the guard took away.

16. The two pillars, one sea, and the bases which Solomon had made for the house of the Lord; the brass of all these vessels was without weight.   17. The height of the one pillar was eighteen cubits, and the chapiter upon it was brass: and the height of the chapiter three cubits; and the wreathen work, and pomegranates upon the chapiter round about, all of brass: and like unto these had the second pillar with wreathen work.

18. And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door:"

"Also the pillars of brass that were in the house of the Lord, and the bases, and the brasen sea that was in the house of the Lord, the Chaldeans brake, and carried all the brass of them to Babylon.   18. The caldrons also, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away.

19. And the basons, and the firepans, and the bowls, and the caldrons, and the candlesticks, and the spoons, and the cups; that which was of gold in gold, and that which was of silver in silver, took the captain of the guard away.   20. The two pillars, one sea, and twelve brasen bulls that were under the bases, which king Solomon had made in the house of the Lord: the brass of all these vessels was without weight.

21. And concerning the pillars, the height of one pillar was eighteen cubits; and a fillet of twelve cubits did compass it; and the thickness thereof was four fingers: it was hollow.   22. And a chapiter of brass was upon it; and the height of one chapiter was five cubits, with network and pomegranates upon the chapiters round about, all of brass. The second pillar also and the pomegranates were like unto these.

The description of the chapiters revealed that the chapiter of brass on one pillar was three cubits as they were brought back from Babylon, and one remained at five cubits.  Why did the two accounts differ for measurement of the chapiters?

"For he cast two pillars of brass, of eighteen cubits high apiece: and a line of twelve cubits did compass either of them about.   16. And he made two chapiters of molten brass, to set upon the tops of the pillars: the height of the one chapiter was five cubits, and the height of the other chapiter was five cubits:   17. And nets of checker work, and wreaths of chain work, for the chapiters which were upon the top of the pillars; seven for the one chapiter, and seven for the other chapiter.

21. And he set up the pillars in the porch of the temple: and he set up the right pillar, and called the name thereof Jachin: and he set up the left pillar, and called the name thereof Boaz.

There was also a discrepancy in the amount of baths it held:

"And he made a molten sea, ten cubits from the one brim to the other: it was round all about, and his height was five cubits: and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about.   24. And under the brim of it round about there were knops compassing it, ten in a cubit, compassing the sea round about: the knops were cast in two rows, when it was cast.

25. It stood upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east: and the sea was set above upon them, and all their hinder parts were inward.   26. And it was an hand breadth thick, and the brim thereof was wrought like the brim of a cup, with flowers of lilies: it contained two thousand baths."

But in Chronicles 4, there is another discrepancy:

" Also he made a molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in compass, and five cubits the height thereof; and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about.   3. And under it was the similitude of oxen, which did compass it round about: ten in a cubit, compassing the sea round about. Two rows of oxen were cast, when it was cast."

It stood upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east: and the sea was set above upon them, and all their hinder parts were inward.   5. And the thickness of it was an handbreadth, and the brim of it like the work of the brim of a cup, with flowers of lilies; and it received and held three thousand baths.  

6 He made also ten lavers, and put five on the right hand, and five on the left, to wash in them: such things as they offered for the burnt offering they washed in them; but the sea was for the priests to wash in."

Why did one “sea” hold two thousand baths and the other three thousand baths?  Some consensus upon search online suggested that there was a scribal error, but that isn’t it.  The two thousand represents something and so does the three thousand baths; just as the chapitars on the pillars differed from five cubits to three cubits, it represents “the pattern of the REAL tabernacle” and not a physical one.

Since the chapiters were both five cubits when they were originally designed and built in 1 Kings 7, whatever happened to change one of the chapitars to three cubits happened between the downfall of Solomon and the return of the vessels after the seventy year exile.

Jeremiah 28:3 tells us that Nebuchadnezzar had all the vessels of the house of the Lord carried to Babylon from Solomon's Temple.  Isaiah 43:14 tells us that the Lord, our redeemer, the Holy One of Israel is sent to Babylon "for our sakes":

Thus saith the Lord, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships."

There was another description that bears investigation in the vessels taken from and returned to Jerusalem.  We surmise from the description of the change in the chapiters, and the identical "anti-parallel" DNA strands are indeed indicative of a temple "of the body" and not a building.  DNA anti-parallel strands  equal to chapitars “3 cubits vs 5 cubits” measurements:



This reminds me of another “temple” taken out of the way, and after he made his “grave with the wicked and the rich in his death”, there was discrepancy in the report of his height.  “Take me, shake me, somebody’s gonna fake me” – he said.

Also in both 2 Kings 25:13 -

"And the pillars of brass that were in the house of the Lord, and the bases, and the brasen sea that was in the house of the Lord, did the Chaldees break in pieces, and carried the brass of them to Babylon.

- and Jeremiah 52:17 -

"Also the pillars of brass that were in the house of the Lord, and the bases, and the brasen sea that was in the house of the Lord, the Chaldeans brake, and carried all the brass of them to Babylon. "

The brass of the house of the Lord is carried to Babylon; Our redeemer the Holy One of Israel is sent to Babylon for our sakes.  We also see a description of "bases" (our DNA has the nitrogenous bases) and a "brasen sea".

We discussed "stones" the "River Jordan" and the crossing of the "Red Sea" on the blog article "Felling of the Walls of Jericho" and "Silence Is Golden (part 1).”  We also discussed on the latter the “great salt sea” which the people coming to Jordan after Joshua, were cut off.

What is a brasen sea?  We were told about the great "salt sea" in the story of Joshua and those that were cut off when the waters of the Jordan were cut off.  On a map of this area we learned that the Jordan River's head waters begin from above and through the Sea of Galilee and end at the Dead Sea (the Dead Sea is not named in the Bible) or what is called in the Bible the "great salt sea".

In the first two verses that I posted at the top of this blog, the mention of a “brasen sea” is replaced with the term “molten sea” in other verses concerning this vessel.  1 Kings first uses this term in the construction of this for the “temple” as does 2 Chronicles 4:

"And he made a molten sea, ten cubits from the one brim to the other: it was round all about, and his height was five cubits: and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about."

"Also he made a molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in compass, and five cubits the height thereof; and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about."

I asked you “did you catch it”?

In 1 Kings 7:23, the wording in the description of the “molten sea” is ten cubits from brim to brim, it was “round” and HIS height was five cubits . . .

His?  His height was five cubits?  It doesn’t say this describing the same thing in 2 Chronicles 4:2.

This anomaly appears in another book of the Bible as well, however it appears in the instructions Moses is given in how to build the portable temple the children of Israel will carry with them through the wilderness.  Also the “his” reference in 1 Kings 7 pertains to the height of the molten sea itself.  The mention in Exodus 30, “his” pertains to the foot of the laver in which to wash.  The “molten” or “brasen” sea is not even mentioned in the books of Moses:

"And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,   18. Thou shalt also make a laver of brass, and his foot also of brass, to wash withal: and thou shalt put it between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein."

What is the tabernacle of the congregation?  Very interesting:

"In the tabernacle of the congregation without the vail, which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the Lord: it shall be a statute for ever unto their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel."

That sounds pretty important.  Note the mention of the absence of “the vail” which is “before the testimony”.  What is the testimony? (Exodus 25:22, on the mercy seat)  The book of the law is that thing which God tells Moses to “put in the side of the Ark of the Covenant” (Deuteronomy 31:26).  What came “out” of the side of the “prince of the covenant” (Daniel 11:22)?  Blood and water (John 19:34).

The veil is first placed between the holy place and the holiest place in the tabernacle Moses built, before the Ark of the Covenant, between the two cherubims which cover the mercy seat which is over the ark of the testimony; this is where the Lord tells Moses he will commune with them.  The brasen or molten sea is not part of the Ark of the Covenant.  It is a vessel in another part of the temple.  What is it?

A few chapters past this, in chapter 38 of Exodus, we see a familiar description “hollow”.  In Jeremiah 52:21 the pillar was described as 18 cubits,  the width “four fingers” because it was “hollow”.  This is the pillar which “chapiter” was five cubits, whereas the ones described in 2 Kings 25 had chapitars only three cubits.

"And he put the staves into the rings on the sides of the altar, to bear it withal; he made the altar hollow with boards.   8. And he made the laver of brass, and the foot of it of brass, of the lookingglasses of the women assembling, which assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation."

What is the “lookingglasses of the women assembling”?  The first thing that came up under this search query.

The whole chapter of 38 in Exodus, shittim wood is overlaid with brass except the Ark of the Covenant.

That reference is missing in 2 Chronicles 4:2 even though the description is almost “word for word” identical to that in 1 Kings 7:23.

Right below that I found this:

in reference to the process for decarbonizing and desiliconizing pig iron by passing air through the molten metal, 1856, named for engineer and inventor Sir Harry Bessemer (1813-1898) who invented it.

Brasen according to both “Merriam-Webster” and “TheFreeDictionary” means the same as “Brazen”.  So the definition of that is:

brazen (ˈbreɪzən),  - adj
1. shameless and bold
2. made of or resembling brass
3. having a ringing metallic sound like that of a brass trumpet
vb (tr)

4. (usually foll by: out or through) to face and overcome boldly or shamelessly: the witness brazened out the prosecutor's questions.
5. to make (oneself, etc) bold or brash

So “brazen” or “brasen” could mean “made of or resembling brass” but “molten” doesn’t mean “brass” unless the brass was in a very hot, liquid form, and this is the description of something called a “sea”.  The brasen sea is also mentioned in 2 Kings 16:17, and changes King Ahaz made to the temple:

"And king Ahaz cut off the borders of the bases, and removed the laver from off them; and took down the sea from off the brasen oxen that were under it, and put it upon the pavement of stones."

Wow.  Ahaz cut off the borders of the bases.  He removed the laver off them, took down the “sea” from off the brasen oxen that were under it and he “put it upon the pavement of stones” – STONES.  Stones and bases.

If you remember from “A Fire In the Walls”, Mitochondrial DNA is DNA which swims “in the matrix” (the sea) in the “mitochondria” inside our cells.  It is separate from the nuclear DNA and is only passed down through the mother, not the father.  This is your “ephah” with the woman in the midst which is taken to build the house in Shinar and is the “likeness” of them throughout the earth.

"And I said, What is it? And he said, This is an ephah that goeth forth. He said moreover, This is their resemblance through all the earth.   7. And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a woman that sitteth in the midst of the ephah.

8. And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.   9. Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven.

10. Then said I to the angel that talked with me, Whither do these bear the ephah?   11. And he said unto me, To build it an house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base."





The ephah is “their resemblance through all the earth”.  The first vision Zechariah saw in that chapter was the flying roll:  The flying roll is the “curse”

"And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits.

3 Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it.   4. I will bring it forth, saith the Lord of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof."

This is the “curse” that will be no more in the new heaven and new earth:

"And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.   2. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:"

It says there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it.  What else will there be no more of in John’s vision?  That’s right . . . there will be no more “sea”.

"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea."

The ephah is used to build the house in the land of Shinar (which is Babylon).  It will be “established” and “set there upon her own base”.   The molten sea was set “on a base” of twelve oxen which we will discuss in a bit.  King Ahaz removes the borders of the bases, takes the “sea” down off of the 12 oxen and places it on pavement of stones (very telling).  Passing “sons through the fire of molech” (Jer. 32:35) could very well describe the “brasen” or “molten sea” being taken down off the brass oxen and placed on the “pavement of stones” – the “stones” of Joshua in Israel?

Can you see this?  Ahab, instead of following God’s plan to “obtain the kingdom” takes God out of the equation.  You might say “skips steps” to experiencing the Kingdom; to become gods, said the serpent to Eve in the garden.  Same lie.  They still have yet to understand that disobedience leads to death and obedience leads to gifts from God.  How hard is that?

Ahaz moves the “sea” off of the 12 oxen.  We know 12 represents the 12 tribes of Israel.  Moses set up the “twelve pillars” (Ex. 24:4) and the twelve stones with the names of Israel (Ex. 28:21 , 39:14 and Joshua 3:12 and 4:8).  Elijah also did the same with the stones in 1 Kings 18:31. Israel is “God’s people”, those that strive with God, the “beginning”, represented by the “Alpha” or the “Aleph” – the “Ox” (Rev. 1:8).  The twelve tribes coincide with the 12 foundations of the wall of the New Jerusalem which are the names of the apostles of Jesus (Rev. 21:14); and they also correspond with the foundations of the world (Rev. 13:8) – and those that were chosen by God, the 144,000 from the “foundation of the world” (Ephesians 1:4).  So what Ahaz had done there was significant, and it was fatal.

Twelve Oxen – Twelve that “strive with God”, the tribes of Israel, the foundation -

The Aleph – Aleppo – The Alpha and Omega,
the beginning and the ending, as it is written.



Let’s keep going -

In Moses tabernacle which was mobile as they traveled across the wilderness, there is no sea, only levers.  And the levers while they had bases, were not placed on Oxen.   But in their impatience, the “children” talked Aaron into making an “image” of their god, that of a golden calf/Ox – Aleph.  Weren’t they beginning a “new” life when this was taking place, waiting to receive “the law”?  God’s Commandments on two tablets of ‘stone’?

There were four tablets.  Moses broke the first two in anger – these were written with the finger of God in Exodus 31:18.  Moses had to return to “the mountain” to make a new set of tables on which the Commandments are written that God had to again write upon in Exodus 34:1.  God cut out the first two in Exodus 31 and Moses was instructed to hew out the second set: two stones made without hands and two stones cut out with hands – Shesbazzar and Zerubbabel.  Temple made without hands and a temple made with hands – in which does God dwell?

Daniel 2:34-45 another vision that Daniel interprets of a dream had by Nebuchadnezzar of a stone cut out of a mountain without hands: Moses tablets or the cornerstone that is rejected by their own?

DNA, The “Sea” and Ahab



We have mitochondrial DNA in a “matrix” of “water” or fluid.  We have nuclear DNA – both have “bases” that are “hydrophobic” and are anti-parallel strands, joined by hydrogen bonds.

Is the “waters” in the mitochondrial “matrix” in which the mtDNA swim the same as the brasen sea?  Or is it reference to the “salt sea”?  Remember the “brasen” or “molten” sea is in the days of Solomon where the priests were to bathe;  The “levers” were in the days of Moses, where the sacrifices were washed.  We see levers mentioned in both Moses tabernacle tent and Solomon’s temple, but we do not see the molten sea/brasen sea in Moses tabernacle tent as we do in Solomon’s temple.  The laver mentioned in Exodus from chapters 30 through 40, and twice in Leviticus chapter 8, the lever is given a possessive of the living “the lever and his foot”.

The “Sea” if this is where the priests were “cleansed” before priestly duties, would very closely resemble a baptismal and the baptism which John the Baptist began re-establishing just before Jesus came began his ministry.  What did John the Baptist say about this?

"I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:"

"John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:"

A “molten” sea conjures up ideas of molten lava or in the case of the “brasen sea”, molten brass.  Baptism or “cleansing” in a “molten sea” indeed fits the description of a baptism in “the Holy Ghost and with fire”.

The “sea” was brought back in Jeremiah 52 from exile, so we know it still existed.  When Ahaz was seduced by the power and wealth of the Assyrians, he made changes to the temple and the protocol for worship to more closely match that of the Assyrians.  Solomon’s temple very closely resembled that of the tabernacle, at least in description of layout and vessels – only one was a “building” and the other a “tent”.

The instructions Moses received in putting together the “tabernacle” sounds like the putting together of the details of the House of the Lord when Solomon was king.

Back to King Ahaz in 2 Kings 16 we learn that King Ahaz is rather smitten with the way things are done in Assyria.  Let us take a look at this in context:

"15 And king Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying, Upon the great altar burn the morning burnt offering, and the evening meat offering, and the king's burnt sacrifice, and his meat offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land, and their meat offering, and their drink offerings; and sprinkle upon it all the blood of the burnt offering, and all the blood of the sacrifice: and the brasen altar shall be for me to enquire by.

16 Thus did Urijah the priest, according to all that king Ahaz commanded.   17. And king Ahaz cut off the borders of the bases, and removed the laver from off them; and took down the sea from off the brasen oxen that were under it, and put it upon the pavement of stones.   18. And the covert for the sabbath that they had built in the house, and the king's entry without, turned he from the house of the Lord for the king of Assyria."

King Ahaz became "enchanted" with the wealth and riches of the king of Assyria.  Their influence, wealth and power seduced King Ahaz who rearranged the furniture in the temple to be like that of king Ahaz.

This included bringing in a "brazen alter" and changing the layout and protocols to accommodate use of this alter; Ahaz "cut off the borders of the bases" and removed the "laver" from off them.  He also took down the "sea" from off the "brasen oxen" that were under it and "put it upon the pavement of stones".

The temple had then been corrupted.

It also says that "the covert from the sabbath that they had built in the house, and the king's entry without, turned he from the house of the Lord for the king of Assyria".

The next mention of "the sea" together with the description of "brasen" is in 2 Kings 25:13, where we are told that the pillars of brass, the bases, the "brasen sea" the Chalees "brake in pieces" and carried the brass of them to Babylon.

In 1 Chronicles 18:7-9, the brasen sea, the pillars and the vessels of brass that Solomon made from all the Brass his father David had brought with gold from the king of Zobah when he has smitten them are also mentioned.

In Jeremiah 52:17 the brasen sea is described among the vessels that are brought back out of Babylon after the exile; and in Jeremiah 52:20 it describes "The two pillars, one sea, and twelve brasen bulls that were under the bases, which King Solomon had made in the house of the Lord . . ."

 . . . And the brass of these vessels was without weight.

Without weight is a big clue that this is nothing to do with a building, but a substance within our own bodies.

"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea."

There was no more sea.  What was taken off the 12 oxen and set directly on the pavement of stones will be no more.

In Exodus 25:1-10 God gives Moses the instructions for setting up the tabernacle.  Many of the elements and their proximity to other vessels in the “meeting place” are identical to that of the vessels made and set up in the temple Solomon built.  But there are a few other things that may look familiar to you from other books of  the Bible.

"And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,   2. Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.   3. And this is the offering which ye shall take of them; gold, and silver, and brass,

4. And blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair,   5. And rams' skins dyed red, and badgers' skins, and shittim wood,   6. Oil for the light, spices for anointing oil, and for sweet incense,

7. Onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod, and in the breastplate.   8. And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.   9. According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.

10. And they shall make an ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof."

We know what the Ark is.  We know what the mountain of God is.  We know what the temple and the tabernacle is, that He “may dwell among” us.

Jesus said:

"And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:   23. I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

24. Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world."

Jesus showed John in Revelation 22, the restoration:

"And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.   2. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

3. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:   4. And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

5. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.   6. And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done."

Moses began building the new temple while still in the wilderness.   The childen of Israel were to make offerings toward its construction.

Moses was to build it after the pattern of the tabernacle – the substance.

The Ark was to go inside the tabernacle and the temple.

Solomon built the temple by the same pattern in which Moses did, but something happened to turn Solomon from God.

The stones of the commandments were cut out of rock by God and written which we were to follow.  Moses  broke these stones in anger upon coming out of the mount to see God’s children worshiping an image of a calf cast in gold.  A second set of stones had  to be hewn out of the rock by Moses himself even though God wrote again the commandments on these –

- A rock cut out of a mountain without hands, and one set cut out with hands.  Nebuchadnezzar’s vision explained by Daniel of a rock cut out of the mountain without hands – to become the cornerstone to be rejected by they who would ambition to create their own cornerstone . . . made with hands.

Jesus overcame –

"We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands."
